No it's NOT rude..........just funnyAlan wrote:that was rudeRaydawggie wrote:The very first time we talked, he called me an idiot within five minutes and implied that I was worse than a terrorist because I'm a Bush voter. I hate that he left, but he shouldn't dish it out if he can't take it.

Actually, calling forum members idiots and terrorists is rude and not allowed around here. Without finding the incident in question, that kind of alleged behavior is out of line, but Lazario has consistently flirted with such a line and generally (and narrowly) stayed on the side of not deserving banning.
Unless the "rude" refers to Raydawggie's remarks, which I wouldn't agree with. On occasion, Alan has been frustratingly vague.

I was called, among other things, a "sneak" and a "SNAKE."Raydawggie wrote:The very first time we talked, he called me an idiot within five minutes and implied that I was worse than a terrorist because I'm a Bush voter. I hate that he left, but he shouldn't dish it out if he can't take it.

Though Lazario and I have been known to vehemently disagree about his sexual preferences (and I almost made a dramatic exit because of it), I actually think I will miss him. After this summer, I have been trying to keep a more open mind about political topics including gay rights. I think I will miss him and reading his opinions.
Lazario played an interesting role in the history of Ultimate Disney and i will not be forgotten for a long, long time.

I'm back / The final word in the 'Gay' discussion
The following post contains OFF-TOPIC statements, which are still very relevant
Okay, people, I'm back. But I'm laying down some real ground rules here, I will not allow for anyone else's refusal to understand the point of each/any topic at hand.
When you say you don't agree with being gay, or you call homosexuality a preference or a choice, you are IN MY OPINION, lending your support to people who would try to control or kill people for not living the way they want them to. This is a time where our current governmental administration is allowing the bigots and religous zealots to have much of their own way (and play games with our freedom, rights, and civil liberties), and anyone can ignore it if they so choose, but I cannot. My being alive doesn't allow for ignoring the OPPRESSION of gays in this country. Time is of the essence for many people and there are no more excuses. We can no longer hide behind morality, it's hatred and intolerance. It kills, ruins lives, and tears good relationships apart- when it doesn't have to.
To say it's a choice or a preference, is NOT THINKING. And it's dehumanizing and completely disrespectful. So I consider that less of a free-sharing of one's opinion, I consider that a flat-out INSULT! And as I understand it, whether you mean it that way or not, insulting people is against the rules here.
You can say you don't understand it. Because if you don't "agree" with it, it's most likely true that you don't understand. I also want you all to consider just how fair it is for you to challenge it. It's not a live and let live thing. Because people are not letting us live and be who we are, when you agree with their ignorant viewpoints, you are supporting them and what they do. And it is not at all fair that they are doing this. You are pushing me to hostility, forcing me to defend myself, when you do challenge this "issue".
And furthermore, is it a choice or a preference for you to be straight (if you are)? Of course it is. But why should you be allowed to indulge in your sexuality, lust, and desires? Just because it's the norm, or it's the norm right now? Who has a right to tell anyone the way to live their lives - when what they do is harming other people (in the obvious cases of men/women forcing themselves on children, animals, or corpses who either can't say no or can't stop the advances / control their attackers). When it's an attack or it's rape, then sexuality or sexual desires are wrong. In any other case, it's a case of two consenting adults in the right state of mind (this dictating for instance, sex in a public place or sex with mentally retarded people as inappropriate). Any other example is simply driven by morals (sex/marriage with multiple partners, sex under the influence of illegal substances) and cannot be dictated / prohibited by law. We cannot allow our lives to be ruled by the moral standards of others, so REMEMBER to be respectful before sharing your opinion!
