Worst Disney Songs

Post by Lazario »

Oh, I think everyone knows a couple of songs they think deserve to be labeled as bad or at least not good. If all else fails, just name a few songs you don't much care for.

But I think Disney has written a few clunkers:

"The Merrily Song" from The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
"Lack of Education" from The Fox and the Hound
"Appreciate the Lady" from The Fox and the Hound
"A Most Befuddling Thing" from The Sword in the Stone
"He's a Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp
"La La Lu" from Lady and the Tramp
"Little Toot" from Melody Time
All the songs from the "Johnny Appleseed" portion of Melody Time

I didn't like these songs that much:

"Someone's Waiting For Your" from The Rescuers
"Just Around the Riverbend" from Pocahontas
"Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas
"Golden Afternoon" from Alice in Wonderland
"Very Good Advice" from Alice in Wonderland
"God Help the Outcast" from The Hunchback of Notre' Dame
"Morning Report" from The Lion King
All the songs from The Sword in the Stone
All the songs from The Fox and the Hound

Those are all the ones I can think of at the moment.

I have to agree at least with "A Most Befuddling Thing" from The Sword in the Stone.

Lack of Education - The Fox and the Hound
Morning Report - The Lion King
If I Never Knew You - Pocahontas
Any songs for Pixar that were written by Randy Newman
A Guy Like You - The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Perfect World - The Emperor's New Groove
Some of the songs sung by the Gospels in Hercules
Everything from Oliver and Company
All of the songs written by Phil Collins for Brother Bear..they were just too folksy for me
He's a Tramp - Lady and the Tramp

And uh..this one might seem a little odd, but I don't like Beauty and the Beast. It's a good quality song, but it's just too..bleugh for me.

I didn't like Can You Feel the Love Tonight. No, Elton, I did not feel the love. . . so sorry.
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

I thought I was the only one.

Frankly I found it very lame and boring.

Alongside that one:

"A guy like you"; The Hunchback of Notre Dame (WAY out of place)

"Just around the riverbend" ; Pocahontas

ALL the songs from Snow White.

I also did not like "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". I've said it before and I'll say it again, regarding really recognizable stars in Disney animated movies, the movie rarely captures them the way you really want them. And this is not my favorite kind of Elton John. I really like my Elton John- "Bennie and the Jets", "I'm Still Standing", "Pinball Wizard". I don't like this soft, cheesy 90s movie love song, ballady Elton John.

That's just my take. I do think however the song is very passionate and it's good. I just don't care much for it at all.

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King.

All the songs from Brother Bear.

"So This Is Love" from Cinderella.

That song from TLK 1/2 with the meerkats. OMG, I almost didn't watch the rest of the movie upon hearing that horrid song.

The Pink Elephants song from Dumbo.

"I Want to Be Like Other Girls" from Mulan 2. @_@

"He's A Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp.

"La La Lu" from Lady and the Tramp.

"Morning Report" from TLK: SE.

All the songs from The Jungle Book.

I can't think of anymore at the moment.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

 But it's a masterpiece...!!!
(Although I can see how it wouldn't appeal to all tastes.)

Mind you, I don't like any of the songs in Bambi so who am I to judge? I can't think of anything particularly exciting in Pinocchio either, aside from An Actor's Life For Me.

That was probably one of the worst moments in the history of Disney. I almost felt nauseous watching it.

Every song in Alice in Wonderland

Lack of Education- Fox and the Hound

Brother Bear was lame too

Mulan was a terrible musical, all of its songs lacked witty classic lyrics and catchy tunes. Reflection was decent, but not one of my favorites either.

If I Never Knew You, there are people who actually like this?

Morning Report was nothing special. Not as great as the others, as a matter of fact, it ruins the "Special Edition."

I prefer the end credits version over the one in the special edition.

Both Pocahontas and John Smith have great singing voices, but when they do a duet...it's like, bleh!

Morning Report.... MAN that song is annoying!!! I always have to make sure I switch it to the original version when I'm watching the DVD so I don't have to hear that song ("Human Again" in Beauty and the Beast on the other hand was great)

To be honest most of the songs I really enjoy from Disney movies are the Ashman-Menken ones, and even they have some downers. Other Disney songs I just sorta like but I only own CDs with their music (and the Lion King soundtrack too).
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I don't know. I mean I watched all the Disney movies I had in the last two weeks and there really wasn't a song that I didn't like. I don't think I was really paying attention. ;)
Ping Elephants? That's a great song!!! :D
Oh wait now that I think about it. I don't like:
"A Whole New World" from Aladdin, and
"Can you Feel the Love Tonight" from Lion King, it's better with Elton John, I agree.

Ok, before you get bashed by Isidour... ;) Being another Bambi fan, I'm not gonna give you a hard time, actually I'm inclined to agree with you. The songs in Bambi aren't really that great, but what do expect from a moive that just turned 63 years old on the 13th? I mean did you really think that the songs in Snow White were all that great too? Not really... but the reason I like Bambi is because of it's artistic and realistic quality. Also realize that the music (not so much the songs) were used to tell the story, if you will. For instance, "Little April Showers," at the begining of that song they used instruments (clarinet) for the rain drops, and the thunder (crash symbol).

Yes but when you get bashed by Isadour can you figure out what exactly you are being bashed about?
