Your Favorite (Current) Disney Channel Series?

Post by AwallaceUNC »

For those of you who watch the Disney Channel (even if it's only half-willingly, with a zombie-like fascination like myself)... which of the shows that they currently produce and air is your favorite? Least favorite?

Current Disney Channel Series
Phil of the Future
That's So Raven
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
Lilo & Stitch: The Series
American Dragon: Jake Long
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers
The Buzz on Maggie
Naturally, Sadie
Braceface
Mike's Super Short Show (I know, this barely counts)
Dave the Barbarian

I haven't seen a couple of these (Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and Naturally, Sadie), and I honestly haven't seen a large number of any of these shows, except "That's So Raven." However, from what I have seen, my favorites are definitely "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and "Phil of the Future," both of which I find to be somewhat clever and funny.

Others are just ok (Stitch, Dave), and others I don't care for so much (Jake Long). But then, it's the rare Disney Channel show that I like from the get-go. Most have to grow on me, and as we seem to be ushering in a new class of Disney shows right now, I'm not familiar enough with most. You know, maybe that's why "Raven" was extended... all the other older shows are ending.

"The Proud Family" grew on me too, but as it's just now ended, I didn't include it.

I haven't seen it in a long time either, but it's listed on their website. My guess is that it's on during the day.

Well, it was on at 3 o'clock. So you're right they might of moved it earlier. In the morning perhaps, when I'm sleeping. ;)

My favorite would have to be either That's so Raven or Naturally Sadie. I like the humor in Thats So Raven, but I also really like how personal Naturally Sadie is. Personally I do not like Phil of the Future at all, becuase the humor is old and the actors (in my opinion) aren't very good.

I like:
That's So Raven
The Proud Family
Kim Possible

(Yes, I know the last two have ended but I figured I'd include them since they are airing reruns...)

I sometimes watch, but not my favorites:
Phil of the Future
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
Lilo & Stitch: The Series
Braceface
Mike's Super Short Show

Ones I can tolerate:
Naturally, Sadie (although I have only seen two episodes)
Dave the Barbarian

Ones I haven't seen:
The Buzz on Maggie
House of Mouse

Absolutely dreadful:
American Dragon: Jake Long
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers

I think I'd agree with that, with "Phil" being the best, and "Suite Life" a distant second. That said, "Brandy & Mr. Whiskers" isn't bad (kind of a stranger and less clever "Teacher's Pet" from the same creators). Haven't seen "Jake Long", "Buzz on Maggie", "Sadie", "Braceface", or "Dave the Barbarian", nor have I had much interest in checking them out. I rather dislike "That's So Raven" and while it seems fine, I can never find myself giving "Lilo & Stitch" my attention or interest. "Mike's Super Short Show" is a fairly clever and entertaining way to advertise new home video releases. "The House of Mouse", which I didn't count with the others since it hasn't been in production for years, is a great idea and often entertaining, but the cartoons far less so than the whole gang gathered together, and even that doesn't come close to fully realizing its comic potential.

Ah, that's what I suspected. Thanks for clarifying. I deleted it from the original post.

The only Disney shows that I can stand (cancelled or not) are:

That's So Raven
Recess
Lizzie McGuire
Braceface

And sometimes I can tolerate The Suite Life of Zach and Cody.

I have my share of giggles when I'm watching the above shows. They might be stupid at times, but at least they're watchable.

I've only seen one or two episodes of The Suite Life of Zach and Cody and Phil of the Future but I thought both were entertaining. I've never really like That's So Raven but then again I don't think I really gave it much of a chance.

I've never seen any of the other shows so I can't really comment on them.
