I haven't seen it but I'm planning on watching it later on today after I finish watching the special features of The Lion King.DisneyFan 2000 wrote:Have you seen it? I assure you, the movie alone is worth the price (not to mention a jam-packed set).

If you want the single version of Dinosaur I say it's worth it but if you want all the extras and commentaries go with the Dinosaur: CE.

if all you're wanting is just the movie, then get the 1-disc.eap_44 wrote:hi guys, it's me again asking your opinion. i've read the review but i still want your honest comments about this dvd. i'm only thinking of getting the single disc version.
I enjoyed it. It's very different from what Disney's been releasing. It had an interesting story too.

Once again -- when in doubt, PLEASE read the Ultimate Disney DVD review. Even if you are only considering the single-disc release, the 2-disc contains all of its extras too and those are covered in the review. All of this site's reviewers spend a lot of time working on puting together these extensive reviews and they are a great resource; USE them!

Since I'm sure that type of posts won't help you decide wether to buy it or not, I'll give you my opinion on the DVD. Let's start with the movie itself, a great CGI film, eye candy worthy of watching at least for the vistas. Wait til you see the meteor shower, pretty impressive stuff. The only thing I have against this is talking dinosaurs. Although I'm sure the movie would've never worked with just its wonderful score (yep, background music is that good), hearing these creatures talk is just distracting but the movie looks so good you'll get over its unrealistic parts and just sit and enjoy. The "survival" story ain't so bad, it's touching at times, but sometimes I think so much more could've been done. If you're looking for cool looking non-talking dinosaurs and some thrills, I'd recommend Jurassic Parkmemnv wrote:I love this movie

This IS a Disney film, but if you have seen it and liked, go for it because:
1-)The transfer is reference quality, the picture is pristine, vibrant, and it's just what it deserves for such a beautiful film.
2-)Soundtracks: you get a DD and a DTS track. If you have a home theater, hold on to your seats because you'll have a blast, if you don't, the sound will come out clear of any distortion through your TV speakers.
I don't want to go into detail on the quality of the film's presentation, but I could recommend you reading the UD review!
EDIT: You already did! Well then, it's all up to you.
As others have said before, if you want a nice package go for the Collector's Edition which full of very good in-sight material, compared to the barebones single disc release. I'd recommend buying it, a feast for the eyes and one of the better Disney releases.

why dont you give a reiew of the film lolopimp, Yours was no better than mine.
There is a meteor shower and it destroys the land most of the dinosaurs and mamals are killed and the land is destroyed. So there is this huge Exodus of mixed Dinosaurs trying to find a valley that is suppose to be fertile. Along the way they are being hunted by some Carnivors. Anyway I wont tell any more. The movie is more like a land before time than a Jurassic Park. I highly recommend it.
