Cable is better because it runs faster.

I may be somewhat influenced towards Dsl because I work for the Qwest Communications and that is what we offer, but I would reccomend DSL over Cable anyday. With Cable you are on a shared connection that causes alot of influction on the speed you get. You never truly get the spped that are being offered. Not only does a shared connection cause issues with the relability of the speed but it is also a less secure connection because it is shared it is not very difficult at all for someone else that shares that connection to hack into your system and get into any of your personal data on your computer. Having also worked For Dell Computers in their Tech support I can also say that I ran into more issues with people who had problems with their cable connection than their DSL.

And as for sppeds on DSL we have it available with a downstream from 256 Kb upto a 7 Mb connection in some areas witht the upstream of 256 Kb to 896 Kb. These are the speeds that are offered to residential customers. And this is based on availability

Hope this helps.
