Discontinued Disney dvds

I just got off the phone with someone from Walmart and he told me that the following Disney dvds have been discontinued:

The Aristocats
The Great Mouse Detective
James and the Giant Peach
Homeward Bound
Mulan (not Mulan II)

Ok I was wondering how this was done. Do we get a press release thing that says that dvd's are being discontinued or do we just find out like this? (by chance)

I just got a mailing from the DMC today and these are all on there (as well as on the site).

And do stores actually PULL these from the shelves or do they just wait for them to sell out?

Someone from Walmart lied. They're all still in Disney's retail system, and Mulan is actually undergoing a temporary price reduction this summer. Not sure how this guy got this information, but as far as I can tell, it is not accurate at the present moment.

Maybe he was talking about the Mulan Gold Collection.

Thanks Luke. I was so disappointed when he told me that those titles were all discontinued. But I kept wondering why they are still available at the official Disney site and everywhere else. Thanks again.
