I think you mean "Star Wars Weekends" which you can find more information on:

http://allearsnet.com/tp/mgm/m_starwars.htm

and

http://www.johnswdwpage.com/starwars.htm

and

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/pa ... lEventPage

and as for new attractions be sure to go on Mickey Philliar Magic which is an awesome 3-D show that doesn't over due the effects for once! Be sure to see it!

As for Soarin' if you have not been to California Aventure and rode this ride then do! The score is excellent while the Imax film is very well done! However the only bad part is that you're soarin over California and not Florida which doesn't make any sense! But overall I think you should go on it!

You've already been on Mission Space so there is no need to tell you about that. All the other new attractions I haven't been on yet!

Overall I hope you have alot of fun! :)

Wow - You have a Disney Classics collection! How many do you have? You're sooo lucky to have that and be going to Disney World!
A question though - is Disney World better than Disneyland?
And thanks for replying to the question about your username; I thought that it might be to nosy to ask!
See you!

Star Wars Weekends is supposedly being extended to June 26th, and they are supposedly reconsidering their decision to make this the last year... good news, as I'd love to be there for it some day.

Have a fun trip, Jiminy!

Well let’s start at the beginning day-by-day......................

Friday

After supper we all pilled into the car and drove to Detroit. The hotel was incredible it was so snazzy. Everything there was enormous. All thru the place they had leather chars. There was a basket of free stuff like chips, mints, tootsie rolls, a bottled water, crackers with peanut buter, and a Twix bar. they had mending kits, robes, those slipper like foam things,4 types of shampo, sope, ottmlea sope, shower caps, and eye masks. Later after eating most of the complmetly stuff we went down stairs. My dad got me a Sahara mist and I got flaming hot cheetos (I MISSED THESS SOOOOOO MUCH).As we were eating we watched a decent :o complete savages with a lunch lady who was Mrs. Ochmonek in Alf and jerry Seinfeld’s mom. After that we were dead tried (and I don’t know why) so we watched half of hope and faith then fell asleep.

well thats not much but its all for now.

Well no one but T/P fan seems to care but

Saturday

We woke up at about 4 and as my family got dressed and showered I was watching Leno (at 4 am that confused me).we checked out of the place at 5ish, left our car and a small bus took us to the airport. We waited there for the plane until 7:45 or so. They had a few things there like an OVER PRICED pizza place with pizza that tasted only okay and was $8 for a personal size. We got on the plane and as it was my 1st time flying I was amazed at the sight of the things below. Wean I was not looking out the window I was sleeping or watching Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2 on my portable DVD player. We got at the other terminal and it was HUGE and cleaner and had more shops. It was all around better that the other one. We got on the bus for Disney’s magical express and the whole time the driver was playing noisy, obnoxious, and outdated music. At the time we got to the port Orleans riverside resort I was desponded in the lobby and we had to walk very VERY far to get to our room. After we put our things in the room (It was nicer than I would have thought for being a cheaper one) we went down to EPCOT.I did the honey I shrunk the audience and journey into your imagination (with Figment) part which as always was great. near the front they had those spots were your can do stuff like make paper play video games and things in that spot I saw an interesting presentation of the best of home entertainment teck (with Ebert and Roper).that was awesome to see home great you can make your living room and home entertainment so much better with those things. I also did the living seas witch was incredibly boring and my father wanted out right away so I never got to see/do the interesting Nemo stuff. Then I went into shops because it was raining. After a wile I went to have dinner at that English place there food was ok but not great. The place was freezing thou as well so I left before the check was paid (ofcorese my father did stay inside and paid). We then went in some rides in the world showcase like that Norway one with the trolls and that one that is in the restaurant. It than looked like rain again so I went on mission space (alone because my sis felt sick the last time) and I was the inganer.I was going to go on soarin' but I was tiered and the rain made me less insesastic so we went back to the hotel.

More tomorrow…………..

Port Orleans Riverside, eh?
We stayed at French Quarter in April...very nice (both the PO sites) but we chose FQ because of the pool. Some choices have to be made to accomodate a 4 year-old.

Keep the updates coming, Jiminy! I'm a big, big fan of Port Orleans Riverside (or, as it will forever be known to me, Dixie Landings). I've stayed there three times and will be staying for my fourth this summer. Did you stay in the Alligator Bayou or Magnolia Bend section?

Glad to hear that you liked the home entertainment show. I've always wanted to do that but have always been too rushed (though I did rack up in the trivia game they were playing outside of it :P). I'll definitely do that when I'm back there!

Looking forward to the rest of your trip report.

We stayed there when we were across the Atlantic eight years ago when I was a meer nine years old! :o Of course, it was then just called Port Orleans (the other part was still called Dixie Landings). I happen to remember that pool well. A life guard got stressed at me for going down the slide on my belly.

Oh, and I hope that you are enjoying your holiday, Jiminy! :)
