Boy Meets World to Not be on Disney Anymore?
Boy Meets World to Not be on Disney Anymore?
Well, today, I saw the commercial for Kim Possible airing on Disney at 5pm starting September 8th. This is the normal time at which Boy Meets World airs... so... either Boy meets world is changing times, and either Smart Guy, Sister Sister, or Even Stevens is getting scrubbed off the daytime list, or Boy Meets world is dead, off of Disney anyways...
???
???
I've read the current contract runs through August '04. Nonetheless, it's disheartening to see the promos for the new September lineup that even showcase Sister, Sister...and prominently feature that Proud Family crap and no BMW. My guess is it will be relegated to late night viewings. That's the only time I watch it, really, but if it's too late, then no more.
Then again, there are so many things that bother me about Disney's reruns. They edit out like 3-4 minutes of every episode (and for what - more "Kids like you have hobbies" and "Kids like you express themselves" spots?), use the wrong opening sequence for the first three seasons, skip 2 out of 3 episodes in chronology, not air certain episodes, and just in general, suck. I doubt we'll be getting DVDs - so it's good to see the Internet's supply of BMW episodes has caught up to the rest. Soon, it will be time to start making your own VCDs and maybe even, DVDs, hopefully from the original airings.

I wouldn't mind change if it was good change. But they don't show any of the classic Disney movies that aren't on DVD. Heck, they show hardly any theatrical Disney movies. It's all this made-for-TV crap again and again.Uncle Remus wrote:yeah i hate all those commercials during the breaks. they are so annoying i go insane if i see a new one that stinks as the others. but still there are some good shows on Disney that should not be taken off like BMW. i wish Disney would stop changing so much.

So all you have to do Luke, is express yourself to Disney. Preferably with a wide selection of cussing and cursingBuzz Lightyear wrote:(and for what - more "Kids like you have hobbies" and "Kids like you express themselves" spots?)

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

No, it's not coming to DVD soon. There's been some 'news' that Disney is considering it, but whatever, I don't believe it until it's announced, and Disney is the worst at releasing their TV product on DVD.
Anyhow, starting Monday, BMW will air at 10:30 PM and repeat at 1, with a different episode at 2 AM. Smart Guy is being relegated to weekend night viewings, and they're upping the number of Recess, Proud Family, and Kim Possible.
Having seen just about every Even Stevens episode, I'm seeing less and less a reason to watch Disney anymore. They butcher Boy Meets World and have to put the 'commercial' breaks in between shows, unlike what they do in Canada and Australia.
Typical example of butchering Boy Meets World:
Topanga is reading a magazine health quiz.
Topanga: "Have you had trouble performing i-(Disney cut)"
Cory: (laughter)"Well, you tell me."
"in bed"!
