Wow! I missed everything! Well congratulations to everything and everyone that won a Mousecar or Gold MIckey or whatever! Has it really been a year since the last awards?
Anyhow...
A Snowhite8 Weekly Update Special Report:
While missing the voting or announcing of the awards, UD's very own Kram Nebuer was at Walt Disney World to witness the tragic events of Cinderella's Castle:

We talked with the Fairy Godmother as onlookers witnessed the tragedy that burned before their eyes.
"Oh, this just isn't what Cinderella needed. The evening was going perfectly as she was just crowned Princess of the kingdom. Oh, most of the royals had attended - Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Belle - and all their princes. As soon as everyone was leaving, waywaring fireworks crashed into one of the towers! My word, the fire was terrible, and how embarassing for our new Princess. She insisted on cleaning up the mess herself, but with a little magic, the tower was returned to normal."
As seen in Kram Nebuer's photgraphic evidence, Peter Pan had been resting in the tower and could be seen jumping a tremendous height to save himself. He had this to say.
"I was fixing the line I drew in the sky that Tinkerbelle follows when she starts the fireworks. I was too tired afterward to return to Nerverland, so I went to sleep in the tower. THen I woke up because the tower was on fire!"
Thankfully, Pan is safe and unhurt, though he does not wish for him nor Tinkerbelle to return until conditions are completely safe for them.
Other witnesses have claimed that Cinderella's stepfamily, obviously jealous that she was crowned, were seen running from the castle and made potential suspects by Main Street Police. The Tremaines were unavailable for any comments:

Well, I am finally here! I forgot about my "grooming" appointment so I was late to that, my limo (well actually a taxi if you wanna get technical) was late, we got a flat, so I had to walk here in my nice, uncomfortable shoes and then halfway over here I realized I left Max at home (o well...) but I'm here and thats all that matters.
[sigh]
Bring on the good stuff!

And now, please welcome the presenter for Most Informative Member of the Year, UD's one and only, PAKA!:
Paka: One interesting phenomenon that tends to occur on internet forums is the
formation of certain “stations.” You’ve got your n00bs, your veterans, your
aggravators, and your peacemakers. Some posters, however, may develop a
more unique status – those that are almost compulsively educational. They
may or may not post as often as the rest, but the content – and substance –
of their posts makes them renown nonetheless. Whether it’s the webmaster
himself, tirelessly correcting misperceptions; 2099net, well-read and always
interested in playing the Devil’s Advocate; Loomis, a kRaZy, yet highly
intelligent Aussie; Aaron the Mediator; the ubiquitous Guru… or the
multi-paragraph, incredibly thorough “techie” posts of the omniscient
deathie mouse - all play a significant part in the Ultimate Disney forum’s
outstanding reputation for finding an answer for nearly any question
that a n00b can throw at it!
The nominees for Most Informative Member of the Year are:
2099net
Luke
Deathie Mouse
Loomis
awallaceunc
Disney Guru
...and the Golden Mickey goes to...
deathie mouse
This is deathie mouse's first Golden Mickey award
Congratulations, deathie! A much-deserved award, indeed!
Next up is Most Amusing Poster of the Year, and maybe even an update on this year's unfortunate mayhem from Joan!
All this and more when the 2nd Annual UltimateDisney.com Forum Awards return live!

Kudos to deathie mouse. Maybe he'll break his stuck-at-1000 funk and make an acceptance speech. One can only hope!
