Good April Fool's Jokes

Post by Loomis »

Around the net there are usually some good April Fool's Jokes on April 1.

Every year Newsaskew.com manages to do something good. This year they converted the whole site into a parody of Ain't It Cool News , a few years ago they said they were converting to a Paul Thomas Anderson fansite. Last year they went with a Miffy theme. The hardcore reactions were amazing!

Star Trek.com announced Trekland: http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/n ... /5113.html

and Klingon Eye for the Human Guy:
http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/n ... /5110.html

Anybody else notice some good ones?

From DVDFile:
Sweet Revenge - 12:01am

Soap Opera Digest Video has announced a June 22 release date for General Hospital 38: The Complete Season. This 55-disc set will include all 252 episodes from the 38th season, presented in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 2.0. The extensive supplements include audio commentaries with actors Val Barri ("Trixie"), Rachel Ames ("Audrey March Brewer Hardy"), Chad Brannon ("Zander Smith"), Stephanie Allen (the fourth - and definitely the best - "Leslie Lu 'Lulu' Spencer"), directors Grant Johnson and Owen Renfroe, and GH "historian" Peter Sumptner. (Renfroe will be heard on episodes 4, 17, 30, 54, 81, 92, 109, 134, 160, 199, and 227, Johnson on episodes 11, 76, 144, 188, and 212.) The studio will also release a collector's edition that will feature an all-new documentary, "Intensive Care: The World of Joseph Behar," a profile of the director who shot the soap's pilot in 1963 and continues to pilot the series. Other features will include the two discs of text-based cast and crew bios for all 40 seasons that have appeared on the other GH season box sets. Retail will set you back $779.95, or $789.95 for the special edition, which also comes with a collectible bedpan.

Well here's one that I did for April Fool's day this year. While my mom was taking a shower I slipped in some purple hair dye into her shampoo (I made sure that it was temporary and that my mom didn't have to go into work that day). When she came out of the shower she ended up looking like Barney's mom and had to go around the whole day with purple hair. My mom still has to prank me back but it's not April Fool's anymore.

I CAN FEEL THE POWER!
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

Lilo: I'm not touching you!
Stitch: TOUCHING ME!

Selling a 'haunted' toy an Ebay would be a good April Fool's joke.

LOL- I love that prank that Bart Simpson did to his father for April fools. Where he took that beer can and shook it up real good and it exploded the whole house. Cheff Wiggum was watching and he calls for some pretzels.

Tomorrow night is my class' Senior Slam. Senior Slam is a school party we host to raise money for us, and all kinds of chaos and such erupts. We've done two, and tomorrow night's our last one. In honor of April Fool's day, we plan on having a cop, who's the uncle of one of my friends, come and arrest me in front of everyone there. With my brilliant acting ability, I'm going to trick everyone there (except our class, of course) that I've been found smuggling cocaine. I know many will be skeptical at first and will automatically think it's an April Fool's joke, but I think if it's handled right (the cop will need to be very serious and not too showy, and I'm going to try to get myself to do my famous crying-on-cue), it can be very convincing. The hardest part will be me trying not to laugh during all this, but I think I can pull it off if I focus enough (who knows; maybe I'll earn an Oscar if I can get this filmed and distributed).

OH that is rich! :D

Anyways, while we are on the subject of April Fool's Day jokes, today one of my bfs- Lauren, asked us if she was looking fat today. We all asked why and she said something happened. Then, my overly nieve (well, at least sometimes! :P You know I love you!) friend Sara believed that she was raped by Corey, Lauren's arch-nemisis. Sara believed this, since Lauren has unbelieveable acting skills. I knew it was fake, because, it was Lauren and Corey for god's sake! Anyways, all of the class played along comforting Lauren and hating Corey, with him fake crying in his desk, with everyone saying "You moron! How..how..just how could you!" It was just too funny. And then Lauren couldn't stand to wait, so she told Sara and she freaked out, then personally slapping everyone in the class   . I told Lauren she would get mad, because there was, lets just say, a situation last year and she (along with everyone else in the world) takes the subject of rape seriously. But, it was all in good acting..

Oh man I gotta good one!
You see I live at the dorms at CSU so I have a room mate. So what I was thinking when he falls asleep take a match and light it. While its lit put it inbetween his toes so when it keeps burning it reaches his toe and freaks him out.

Once more, www.startrek.com has a nice April Fool's site today.

Also, www.psiphi.org has changed some things on their site if you click on the Book Database link.

www.newsaskew.com 's joke this year was kinda lame.

I guess we are just expecting it now.

I'm trying to load the Star Trek one, but can't get it working.

last year, a couple of my friends believed they were fired from their WDW jobs...they were all ready to turn their stuff in, pack, and everything...one guy even called his mom to get him some plane tickets...then my roommate and i approached each of them with a huge smile on our faces.
