Does anyone know of any upcoming release dates for this film because I missed getting it the first time around and now it's out of print

It's been announced for a rerelease in May in Europe. You could try oredring a copy from there!

Personally, I knew there was no Region 1 news, but others might get annoyed, no matter what the subject of disappointment.

i'd guess it wont be that long for us Region 1 folk. I bet it'll be a 2006 release, unless it turns out in october like Mulan did! i hope that's the case bc i didn't get it either and i want it soooooooooooo bad!

How dare they release another edition of Tarzan after I bought my CE!!

if another Tarzan would be released..would that be called "Platinum" or "Masterpiece"?

You know, it might just be the same DVD in a new box... I wouldn't be too sure this one will be better than the previous edition!

Well, from the UK BBFC listings (sort of like the American MPAA) is appears the new set may have a new commentary (the new one is listed as Writer's Commentary) and a new DisneyPedia on Jungle Animals.

Awww dang. Too bad it's not coming to region 1 anytime soon. I saw it in it's theatrical release and i wasn't really a fan but this week we watched it in English class as part of our Media Studies and I fell in love with it. The animation is really good and it's not like the cheap CGI stuff that they used to the newer films like Lilo.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Disney re-releases it!
