Not sure if they would work with the Amazon descriptive text in the URL; the links they make for you always have the "exec/obidos/ASIN/" in front, so I've replaced the item-specific code with that for you. Thanks so much for doing as you did! It is greatly appreciated, especially this year!magicalwands wrote:Btw Luke, did I link the Amazon urls correctly?
Thanks all for keeping the posts coming. Looks like just a few more left to be posted.

Hi Santa!
Sorry I'm late to the party. It's been a really hectic week. I used to be something of a UD regular, now, I cant say I have been this year. If you care, I'm getting my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in a few weeks. I have been teaching 4th grade, so if you know any books that you liked from 4th grade that I can add to my collection, that would be cool. If you know of an awesome teacher store, anything from there would be amazing to me!
Also, as anyone who has posted on UD knows, I love music, but I tend to be pretty particular about it, even throughout a wide net of genres. I love classic rock, and one of my favorite bands this year has been the Rolling Stones. If you can find a copy of Forty Licks on CD for cheap used, that would be great too. If you can't, my wish list is full of other options.
Moviewise, I got a Blu-Ray player this year, so I have options related to that in my list as well. If it matters, my favorite movie of all time is Pulp Fiction, closely followed by the original Toy Story.
Other than that, my favorite things include sports (all Arizona based teams, except for the Chicago Cubs), my guitar (so if you like music and can think of things that a guitarist might need or find useful, that would be great), as sports and music based video games (I'm looking forward to buying NBA 2k12, Rocksmith, and Batman: Arkham City for myself.)
PS: My favorite superhero is Batman for sure. Capt. America might even be a distant second. My favorite book at this moment is the Hunger Games and I'm super stoked for the movie, so anything you can find related to that (a real Mockingjay pin would be awesomely nerdtastic) would win instant points with me.
As a finale, here's my Amazon wish list, with many suggestions and ideas. (Note to Luke, PLEASE feel free to update with UD supporting links!)

Thank you a lot,
Dave

Thank you a lot,

Dear Secret Santa,
my basic interests include anything and everything Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel and DC, fantasy literature and films, and animation in general. I'm also a huge cat person (I have a 7-year-old orange tabby cat), but I love dogs too, and it's only the lack of space that keeps me from adopting one. I'm in my mid-20s, average height, average weight (I wear either size M or size L clothes, depending on the manufacturer), and blue, violet, grey and black are my favorite colors.
Other random facts about me:
- chocolate solves my every problem
- I keep a list of every movie I have ever seen
- I spent the last month and a half in and out of hospital – I had a gallbladder surgery, and today is the last day of my sick leave. Yay for getting back to work! (And I'm not being sarcastic, I really miss it, if only for my work colleagues)
- I recently developed a fondness for cheesy teen-oriented vampire-themed literature (no, it's not the reviled "Twilight", but "Vampire Academy"); in my defense, there's not much you can do when you're stuck in a hospital bed
Now, on to the wish list - here are several items (all DVDs, all Region 2) I'm interested in:
Pretty in Pink
Transformers: The Movie
The Hannibal Lecter Collection
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever
In any case, please note that you can't go wrong by choosing something off my list, but I would in no way be opposed to something you select on your own, regardless of it being in scope of my interests or not. A DVD/Blu-ray of a movie you liked, a hat/shirt/scarf you think may look good on me, or anything else that would also give me an insight into your own hobbies and interests would actually be of greater significance and importance to me than something I can get on my own.
And before I forget, here's a copy/paste of something I wrote in last year's SS thread:
Take care and all the best wishes to you!
**Oh, and Luke, like DaveWadding said, please don't hesitate to update my links with those that support UD – if it's possible with the co.uk domain. I tried doing it myself, but I'm pretty sure I messed up.**

I also want to thank you in advance for all your time, energy, and thoughtfulness, and simply for being my Secret Santa.…since I'm from Europe, I recommend you shop from amazon.co.uk so you wouldn't have to worry about paying extra for shipping from North America to Europe (that is, if you're even from North America). An online converter site tells me that current USD/GBP currency ratio is cca $20 = £12, so please be wary of that too...
Take care and all the best wishes to you!

Hello, Secret Santa!
Aaron here. I came here to read through everyone's wishlists and to post my own. An hour later, I've just finished reading Escapay's only.
I'm afraid my introduction won't be able to rival his, but I'll tell you a bit about myself: I'm 26 years old. As for occupation and pastimes, I'm a lawyer by day and I write entertainment reviews and produce podcasts by night. I love to write, and just recently learned that my first book is going to be published!
For a long time, I've said that The Color Purple is my favorite movie... lately, I think Casablanca might be reaching it in a tie. There are so many more and I could spend the rest of the evening listing my very top favorites and still only scratch the surface. As for Disney, my favorite animated classics are Sleeping Beauty and The Lion King; my favorite live-actions are Pete's Dragon, Mary Poppins, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks; my favorite Pixar film is Wall•E (but I love them all except for the two Cars); my favorite Muppets movie so far is probably The Great Muppet Caper (but then I really need to give them all a new re-evaluative back-to-back screening); my favorite Muppet is Sam the Eagle; and my favorite Marvel film franchises are Spider-Man (though I disliked #3) and X-Men (though I disliked Origins: Wolverine) [but my favorite superhero universe, by far, is Batman]. I frequent the Disney Parks and even though I don't live very close to them, I am a Walt Disney World annual passholder. Working with UltimateDisney.com/DVDizzy.com has been a big part of my life for many years now, I've met some cool people through it, and this Secret Santa program is one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season.
I also love music. My favorite artists include Amy Grant, Aerosmith, Michael Jackson, Maroon 5, Hanson, David Gray, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Jason Mraz, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and so many more. I can never get enough good music, and I'm always having to upgrade my hard drive to contain it all! As a general rule (with exceptions), I love everything from the 1990s. My favorite TV shows can be categorized into classics ("I Love Lucy", "Bewitched", pretty much anything shown during the first few years of Nick at Nite), childhood favorites ("Boy Meets World," "The Golden Girls," "Full House," "Family Matters," "Murder, She Wrote," etc.), recent shows ("LOST," "Everwood," "Entourage," and more), and current shows ("Desperate Housewives," "Parks and Recreation," "30 Rock," "American Idol," etc.) -- that said, I also enjoy game shows and I probably watch more 24-hour news programming than anything else.
What else can I tell you? I celebrate Christmas, but you probably already know that from your assignment email. I am a Christian and my faith is important to me. Apple is the only computer brand I've ever bought. I don't really like chocolate, and aside from chicken, I don't eat much meat (I just don't care for it). However, I love dessert pastries and I could eat pastries all day long (but I don't). When it comes to food, I like strong and unusual tastes and have a severe sweet tooth.
I really didn't mean to write more than a few sentences, and yet here we are. I blame Albert.
I guess I have to throw in a random song too.

How's that for purely random awesomeness?

Dear Secret Santa
My name is Amy and as you can guess from my username and avatar I heart Alice in Wonderland.
Anything Alice in Wonderland (1951) related would be awesome. (maybe not the ornaments that the Disney Store has right now, since I have already got them)
If that is too challenging to find, disney gift card is great too.
I have also collected some likes of other items on my wishlist
The Art of the Disney Princess [Hardcover]

Disney Traditions designed by Jim Shore for Enesco Cheshire Cat Birdhouse 10 IN

Hey Secret Santa, First I want to apologize for any weird formatting in this letter. See, yesterday my "enter" key just up and died. It's incredibly frustrating because I have some essays to type up today and just...grr! Secondly, I want to apologize for the delay. My life has been insanely busy lately and I had to wait until I was on Thanksgiving Vacation to even have time to think about this. See, I am a special education teacher (nice to see some other teachers on here now too!) and over the past week or so I've had two back-to-back days of Special Olympics, IEP meetings, the state alternate assessment, 3 field trips, 4 faculty trainings, and the rest of life too. It's been a fantastic school year so far though. I have a new crop of kids who are awesome. In September, I was surprised when my co-workers honored me by naming me our school's Teacher of the Year. I was even more surprised and honored earlier this month when I was named the entire school system's TOTY. Now, I'm working on typing up my application for the state contest. Hence, the extra annoyance at this darn "enter" key. Anyway, onto me. I never know what to put in these things. I am obviously a big Disney fan. I especially love the animated classics, Pixar, and the Muppets (still weird to think of them as Disney stuff). I am a big fan of the Uncle Scrooge comics (I met Don Rosa at DragonCon this year) and the new Darkwing Duck and other Disney afternoon titles. I'm trying to upgrade all of my Pixar movies to Blu-Ray. I still need: Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, The Pixar Shorts, and Up. My favorite characters are Mr. Incredible, Buzz Lightyear, Remy, Wall-e, Mickey Mouse, Uncle Scrooge, Donald, and Goofy. I've had my eye on the new Muppet plushes at Disneystore.com specifically Gonzo, Fozzie (my favorite), Rizzo, Pepe, and Walter. I can't wait to see the new movie tomorrow! I am especially fond of gifts that are unique. Something I can't find easily or that comes from your part of the world. In addition to Disney, I'm a big fan of scifi and fantasy in general (LOTR, Harry Potter, Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.), The Simpsons, 30 Rock, Mad Men, coffee, comics (especially DC and Peanuts...Superman is my favorite), movies, and books (I just got my first Kindle and am loving it). I love pop culture Christmas decorations. I like for my tree to contain likenesses of all my favorite things. My favorite Christmas movies are Scrooged, Christmas Vacation, Gremlins, A Christmas Story, and It's a Wonderful Life. I love Christmas music and am always looking for fun, new additions to my extensive collection. Here's my Amazon Wishlist if you're still stuck for ideas. Dear Secret Santa,
I am a 25 year old male, whose favorite color is blue, and wears an XL T-shirt.
I love Disney and Pixar movies, but don't have nearly enough of their books or DVD's. I did acquire the Art of Tangled book last month. My favorite Disney films are Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, The Rescuers, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch, and Tangled. As you can tell from the avatar, I'm a huge Tangled fan.
My favorite Pixar movies are Wall-E, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, and the Toy Story trilogy.
There are plenty of non-Disney-Pixar TV shows I enjoy as well.
Here is a rough of my wish list:
DVD's
Tangled
Daria the Complete Collection
Alice in Wonderland (1951)
The Simpsons Season 2
Sin City (2005)
The Little Black Book
Books
The Art of Wall-E
The Art of Toy Story 3
The Art of Winnie the Pooh
The Art of UP
The Art of Ratatouille
The Art of The Incredibles
The Art of Monsters Inc.
Mouse Under Glass
I will be revising the list over the next few days.
Thank you in advance.
Brad
