Haven't gotten any more sign-ups since yesterday, so if people have submitted and don't appear on the list above, let me know so we can figure it out. Just five days left to join!

I'm hoping we can get twenty or at least sixteen to sign-up. Past years have had between 24 and 33 participants and I think that going beneath 16 would diminish the fun and surprises significantly. In fact, if we don't get 16, maybe we shouldn't bother with it this year.

I know the list of participants looks a little smaller than usual, but I don't think you should cancel Secret Santa. You would be dampening the spirits of the people who already sent their e-mail addresses out. Maybe you could extend the deadline a bit (you probably started a bit too early).

I looked at the sign-up thread for last year's Secret Santa (Link here) and sign-ups were open for five days (starting Nov. 2) and closed with sixteen participants.

We actually had 24 participants last year. Here is the breakdown of past years...

2003: Missing data
2004: 22
2005: 33
2006: 27
2007: 28
2008: 29
2009: 27
2010: 24

We're currently at 12.

I would love to join, but i am giving birth soon so i won't have the time. It was a lot of fun last year. Hope you all have a great holiday and thanks Luke for keeping the site alive

Congratulations! I wish you a healthy, happy pregnancy and delivery!

My cousin is pregnant also and will be delivering in a month. Everyone in my family (including me) are just so excited to meet him.

Luke, I just read your email and wanted to thank you for reminding me about SS. I've had a rather sucky month which prevented me from visiting UD on a regular basis, so hadn't it been for your email I wouldn't have been aware Secret Santa was even happening this year. And since I had a great time last year, of course I'd like to participate again.

So yes, I'm in! I'll be sending my info right away.

Well, we hit 16, so this is definitely on.

It would be nice to get a few more sign-ups in the last two days, but if need be, we're good to go as is.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Thanks to an e-mail from Luke, I learned that the UD Secret Santa will continue once again this year. Looks like MickeyMouseBoy turned 16 participants into 17. Lucky Gus. I wanted to be the one who made everything odd.

Oh well, I'll just quote Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan: "Sauce for the goose, Mr. Saavik. The odds will be even."
