I'm still a little optimistic for this release, and now it's moved to my Birthday weekend so cheers!

Re: Petition to re-theme Splash Mountain

Agreed. It has more to do with selling 100 branded items than honoring the past 100 years. That's not to say that there aren't some in the company trying to honor the past, but vast majority of the effort is behind us buying platinum colored objects. They'll do just enough to make us think they want...

Re: Bob Iger is Back!!!

Finding Destiny could work as a 3rd part I actually kind of giggled at that, because it would actually work well. Being that she has poor eyesight, it makes sense she'd get lost. That mixed with her name, the characters could be finding their own "destiny" while looking for her. In the en...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

Isn't it a little weird how little coverage Ariel has on her top compared to everyone else? Not that I want less coverage but it's like the difference between a bra and a full shirt. Just a nit-picking thing I noticed...

Re: Petition to re-theme Splash Mountain

Was it really expected for them to keep all the parts when there is no intention of ever releasing the source material again? Well, they might come in handy as replacement items for the Tokyo Disneyland ride one day. In any case, destroying materials that are part of Disney's history is just plain ...

Re: Petition to re-theme Splash Mountain

It seems like some people are treating this like how they tore down confederate statues. I understand some people are finding some joy in dismantling this ride, it wasn't loved and treasured by all, but what people don't seem to understand anymore is discretion and not having to share EVERYTHING. We...

Re: Which Disney Films Should Have Had Storybook Openings?

Oh! I forgot about those! They were beautiful! Thanks carolinakid & Disney Duster !!! Going back to the notebooks, I was always tempted to get more, but I regretfully didn't. I also wish I would've picked up a second Sleeping Beauty because I refuse to write in it. It seems like it was a good en...

Re: Peter Pan & Wendy (Live-Action)

I've stayed mostly out of this discussion because I'm not too familiar with the many versions, and although I like Disney's original version, it hasn't ever been one of my main go to's. I will say that the leaked images weren't all too bad, but nothing that wasn't expected. I think of this as anothe...

Re: Descendants: The Pocketwatch

This is a series I never intended to like very much, but it really grew on me and I think out of all the DCOM content, I revisit Descendants and it's sequels the most. I'm hopeful I like the direction this series is taking. Right now I don't have any strong opinions either way, but I am happy the se...

Re: Which Disney Films Should Have Had Storybook Openings?

The Disney Store (right before closing/the pandemic) had a number of replica notebooks, is that what you're talking about? I have the Sleeping Beauty one and I adore it!

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

I'm for one glad it's brighter. I was worried if it looked too much "real world" we'd lose some of the magic and it would overall look dull. My complaint is that in a world post-avatar, the CGI just looks out of date. Not that they had the same resources, but it's kind of the difference be...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

Does anyone heard that we'll get a trailer for Quantunmania? It's the next big release from Disney to have a trailer like this. The teaser is ok. The CGI seems to get weird for me during the Jellyfish part. Maybe it'll still get cleaned up, but I'm assuming what we got in this teaser is finished pro...

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover

The franchise is just that, a franchise. They can do with it whatever they want, with who they include or not. Elena is included, but as we are pressing forward she's being less and less spotlighted. I'm just suggesting that they can change it, and we don't really have control over that. I'm also no...

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover

So, this might be sort of silly and only a problem with me, but I'm conflicted about Raya being official. There's part of me that's glad she's included. I also think some others should be officially included. I like that she's outside of the "normal", but at the same time that's why I find...

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean 6

To be honest, I am kind of excited that there is a 6 still in the air... but a Norrington spin-off? No thank you. I think I'll pass. I think Jack Davenport was obviously joking. That and Norrington is dead. :brick: I kinda thought it might be a joke... but then Toy Story 5 is a thing now... and I j...

Re: Bob Chapek Named CEO of The Walt Disney Company

We really can't be getting the full story here. Disney has a lot of political influence for just it's money alone. I don't like DeSantis's "culture wars", but Disney must not see this as hurting them as much as the rest of us has seen it. Otherwise why would they take this so lightly? It s...

Re: Which Disney Films Should Have Had Storybook Openings?

I like the storybook openings, but I'm also pretty happy with the films that have flipped that on their head too. Using another media to begin the story (like BatB, Pocahontas, or in a way Hercules). I think it sets up the mood that you're about the hear a story, like a "lets gather around the ...
