Re: Most anticipated Disney movie of 2020

I think the reason is because Disney knows that Dragon Empire won't get any kind of attention. Take for example Wreak it Ralph. It had it's official announcement at D23 2011, and nobody cared. There was no hype or interest of any kind for months. So why bother  This seems like a rational exp...

Re: Pocahontas Live-Action?

But how do you manage to tell a story that is more faithful to history by keeping the 1995-songs? More faithful doesn't mean a documentary. You mean you can tell a story with songs?... Now slow down for a second, I believe you we are really going too fast for us  We are probably just dummies...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

A report claims that if Far from Home doesn't cross the billion dollar mark worldwide, creative control will revert to Sony. The original Sony/Marvel/Spidey deal to co-produce these movies stipulated that if this Spidey cleared a billion, Marvel would get to oversee a third. If it hadn’t, full cont...

Edit: Oh wait you mean the instrumentals like they did with Mulan?

A Kite’s Tale (2019)

The second VR short after last year "Cycles", "A Kite’s Tale", will make its world debut at SIGGRAPH 2019. This experimental short film, directed by Bruce Wright, combines hand-drawn animation and the latest VR technology to tell "a whimsical tale of two kites". https:/...

Re: Zootopia 2

It is certainly nice to discover that, among the 3 new Pixar movies and the 2 new WDAS films coming in 2020 and 2021, there will be only but original projects! Although I have to admit it is well proven by now that both WDAS and Pixar have enough creativity to handle and make refreshing sequels that...

Re: Enchanted 2 Discussion

I’ve been hoping for yeeeears for this sequel!! I could be enthusiastic. And though now I wonder if it isn’t already too late to make a sequel to this one after soooo many years... Disney is not the same company as it used to be in the mid-2000s. Considering the quality of their recent live-action m...

As far as I’m concerned I was actually more interested in this project than the TSITS remake. It would be another way to explore the legends around Merlin :)

Re: Finding Nemo 3?

Right when I got out of the movie theater after watching ‘Finding Dory’ back in June 2016, I thought that ‘Finding Hank’ was the most logical thing to happen next with this franchise (or at least that was what the Pixar artists seemed to intent) mostly because of this character’s backstory who was i...

Re: Hercules Live-Action?

I’m afraid this movie is gonna be a huge mess.. When you think of it, the original animated classic is actually kind of messy too... but in a rather good way. And this 1997-movie can definitely count me in its fanbase! But when you translate that into a live-action feature (considering the way Disne...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

If only they would release everything. I am still waiting for Make Mine Music, Melody Time Well, I remember back in 2018 there were some rumors about DMC planning to release a 2-Movie Collection of "A Goofy Movie"/its sequel, and another one for "Make Mine Music/Melody Time".. I...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

Well, 4K wasn't really that common when the Signature Collection started, Disney started releasing 4K releases in the second half of 2017 and new releases only. The first rerelease (for animation) was The Incredibles in June 2018 That is actually my point indeed! They should have started way before...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

no more Disney Vault, which tbh became redundant Same here but only because with the ‘Signature Collection’ it didn’t offer that much of a upgrade compared to the previous collections (Platinum & Diamond). Not a lot of new bonus features (quite a few to be fair) and the resolution and restorati...

Re: The Chronicles of Prydain

I’m really surprised that Disney still actively works on this one, especially knowing how the original classic is mistreated..

If only it could take the same steps as the ‘Jungle Book’ remake or the ‘Mulan’ remake..

What a stupid rush of releases.. I guess this year will mark the end of the Disney Vault after being such a marketing strategy for 40 years.

Re: Mulan (Live-Action)

I would be very surprised if "Mulan" doesn't go the "Cinderella" route and include a few of the songs over the end credits. That strikes me as a likely scenario. Yes I think so too. And this way it won’t distract us from the story they are trying to tell (which sounds different ...

Re: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Personally I am not convinced by this ending, doesn’t it make ‘Maleficent’ less unique and notorious if she’s not the only fairy looking the way she does???

And the creatures of the moors, weren’t they already her own?
Sounds really clumsy to me.
