Does anyone know this about Disney buying Lucasfilm...?
Does Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm also mean that Disney now owns the non-Star Wars, non-Indiana Jones films that Lucasfilm made ("Radioland Murders", "Labyrinth", "American Graffiti", etc.), or is just "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones"? I know they p...

Is BATB: The Enchanted Christmas really a Disney film?
I'd always read before that Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas - like all of Disney's direct-to-vido animated fare - was made by DisneyToon studios. However, TV tropes (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RedRoverStudios) and wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Rover_Studio...

It's not that I mind stories without good vs. evil. I also agree that many Miyazaki films really don't have villains, but it doesn't seem like Spirited Away is one of those films. I don't see how Yubaba could be seen as anything other than a villain; it's implied that by stealing their names she'll ...

Why do people say Ghibli's films never have good vs. evil?
I've noticed several reviews of Studio Ghibli films on this site say something like "Studio Ghibli films never have black-and-white morality, everyone is morally gray". But what about Spirited Away ? Isn't it pretty clear-cut that Chihiro and Haku are good and Yubaba is evil? I can't think...

If you could have Disney do anything, what would you do?
Suppose you could change Disney's policies and have the company make, get rid of, or do anything you wanted. What would you do?

anyone remember Going Wild with Jeff Corwin or Umba Mukumba?
These are two nature shows that used to be on Zoog Disney (not sure if I'm spelling Umba Muckumba right) and I was just wondering if anyone besides me remembered them and why they're not on ultimate disney's tv show page (http://www.dvdizzy.com/tvshows.html). Should I e-mail ultimate disney and ment...

mistake in one of the reviews on this site
How do I notify the site that there's a mistake in one of its reviews? The review of the Fantasia & Fantasia 2000: 2 Movie Collection ( http://www.dvdizzy.com/fantasia-fantasia2000-2moviecollection.html ) claims "Over on Fantasia 2000's disc, we get the two commentaries that were recorded f...

Re: Disney's Dimensional Villains
The Beast was not intended to be a villain, audiences just thought he was, it is the audience and individual person who would call him one, while most of the people who worked on Beauty and the Beast would never have classified him as a villain. Fictional or not, it's a person's evil actions that m...

Another thing I notice is the villain always have to be something people always think as a villain: Pirates, Cats(Shere Kahn, Siamese twin, lucifer, Prince John and Scar), tall dark dressed supernaturals(Mally,Ursula, queen, Jafar, and Hades.) I don't know of anyone who thinks of cats as villains, ...

The villain of a CGI film Disney made without Pixar called "Meet the Robinsons". You can read about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meet_The_RobinsonsGoliath wrote:Who the hell is 'Bowler Hat Guy'?
I highly reccomend the film, by the way. It's a lot of fun.

Re: Disney's Dimensional Villains
WHY should a character be more complex by having some normal or nice intentions, though? This is drama, let evil be evil. Agreed. I like good vs. evil stories. I never got why complex meant "they do good and bad things". You can be complex just by how you developed your crazy obsessions w...

I actually thought that Bowler Hat Guy's motives were very believable and very understandable. It was one of the rare cases where I believed that a villain had a right to go after the hero. But his fate is also a bit different from other Disney villains: in the end he is redeemed, while most other ...

Re: The Ridiculous Motives Of Disney Villains!
The motives of Disney's villains are all rather superficial. There's no complexity to their evil, just shallow desires. When you see someone prettier, do you want to kill them? Or when something doesn't go your way, does that mean you go off and torture innocent people? I guess it does for these vi...

But I refuse to believe that The Walt Disney Company is the only media conglomerate who does this (not that this justifies it, but still). If it seemed like I was implying that, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm sure there are other media conglomerates that do it as well, and certainly corporations ...

But doesn't that same logic also mean that it doesn't matter if you buy Disney dolls or other merchandise because they'll still make plenty of money without you, thus making it pointless for you to avoid the products for the reason you described? No, because I don't want to own anything that was ma...

Disney film absent from site list, way to notify site master?
There seems to be a Disney film missing from this site's list of animated films other then the classics series (http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateanimated.htm). It's called Roadside Romeo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadside_Romeo). Anyone know of a way to let the webmaster or masters know thi...
