Re: Aida Revival
I mean, there is a rumor going around that there’s a revival of Mary Poppins on the horizon. But that’s just a rumor.

Re: Hexed
How do you know it won’t be? Have they confirmed that? I mean, there is no sign that hand drawn animation is coming back to Disney anytime soon sadly. I think all of their veterans 2d animators have let the company and Disney haven't assembled a team of 2d animators because they don't have a lot of...

Odd, I thought with all the shady crap Disney’s been pulling the last couple months (Jimmy Kimmel being suspended and the whole AI crap), people would be unsubscribing in big numbers.

Um… okay. I know it’s due to the frog tablet’s reflection, but something about Woody’s eyes in the teaser seems off. I’m not sure why.

What, Moana 2 didn’t do that?PatchofBlue wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 10:37 pm I'm hoping this has strong returns. It might help build enough momentum to audiences back in the habit of seeing Disney movies for Thanksgiving again, which would give HEXED a boost next year.

Re: Aurora (Live-Action)
Best case scenario? It takes the HBO Family Happily Ever After series approach and this movie ends up being a story set in some kind of medieval Mexican setting like the HEA Cinderella episode was.

Re: The Princess and the Frog Discussion - Part III
In a new interview, John Musker revealed that there was going to be an otter character voiced by Randy Newman where he would be sitting on a piano telling the story to the audience, similar to what Jiminy Cricket does at the beginning of Pinocchio. I think we're all grateful that never came to frui...

Re: Sleeping Beauty Discussion
Anybody else think that Flora and Merryweather should have at least come to a compromise and make Aurora’s dress violet? Because I think it would actually suit her namesake, considering the sky is purple at dawn and Aurora was literally named after the dawn.

I mean, I’ve gone on record to say Eisner was a scumbag, but after watching his interviews on The Imagineering Story and after a friend provided context for his “we care more about making money than we do about art”, I’ve been thinking that maybe I’ve given him more flack than was warranted. As for ...

Re: 2026 WDAS
Okay, I know the only thing we got so far is the title and the concept art and this is obvious wishful thinking, but I genuinely do hope this movie will be hand-drawn animated or at least a legitimate hand-drawn/CGI stylized animated movie. I'm genuinely getting low-key tired of the oversaturation o...

I mean, to be fair, Sausage Party’s (Red Band) trailers went out of their way to remind audiences that, despite the animation looking cutesy, it was still an R-rated movie.
I just hope there’s more to the final film than being crass from start to finish.

I genuinely love this news. It feels like something old with a big splash of new. As much as I love Star Wars, I’ve never experienced Launch Bay for myself, but I feel it’s overstayed its welcome by six to nine years.

Re: Elio
I don’t want to sound like some conspiracy nut, but I genuinely think Disney is doing this to Pixar on purpose. Because they probably knew that a live action remake of a beloved animated film would overshadow one of their original films. Then they hardly marketed Elio, to add insult to injury. And d...
