Curious about one thing. Isn't Pixar's Cars supposed to come out Christmas time of 2005? Is Disney going to go head to head with the releases?

I would like to see the 5 to 10 minute cartoon brought back. Telling a story in a short time is tough and hard to create without the characters expressing a lot of content in their actions. Unleash some creativity and get away from the set formula of the past 10+ years (parent dies, befriend, rise a...

I liked the Complete Goofy tin, just wish it had a play all function like the Mickey Mouse in Living Color. The more I watch the more my kids and I like the Silly Symphonies tin, and I like the Behind the Scenes at the Disney Studios. 1. Mickey Mouse Living Color 2. Complete Goofy 3. Silly Symphonie...

What should Disney Change

We have now seen the stock holders answers to the Disney board. While Mr. Eisner is still employed, change will occur with a 43% vote of no confidence. We have all talked about the lack of creativity in some areas of the corporation but what should be fixed first? Animation? Theme Parks? ABC/ESPN? A...

A corporation is made up of stockholders. Each stockholder has shares of that company. If a majority of shares, 50.0001 percent of the voting shares vote for a sale, the company can be sold.

Do not disagree 2099net, but this may spurn the current board to look at shedding some assests to lower current debt to boost bottom line. Disney Corp will probably see some changes because of this offer. The changes may have occurred naturally but this will jump start some items. Disney is viewed a...

What this offer will do is bring continued discussion to the value of Disney and are the shareholders getting enough return for their investment. As one of the other posts had a nice chart of Disney return on investment compared to the rest of the S&P, Disney has lagged behind. Comcast may not p...

The deal with Pixar may or may not be dead. This could be posturing on both sides. The real deal is who is going to get John Lassiter. A deal between Disney and Pixar does not necessarily include Mr. Lassiter. The pixar movies have had excellent stories that have been lucid and clever for young and ...

This is my first post but I have read with great interest this discussion room for months. This topic is very interesting and I would like to put my two cents in. I think it is easy to say that Michael Eisner needs to go, the hard part is what will restore Disney in the image that we remember or ima...
