Re: The Wonderful World of Disney Signature Movie Edition

So 2021 now and 4 of the 5 of these “Wonderful World of Disney Signature Movie Editions” are still available in the Disney Movie Club as of May 3rd…just missing the Swiss Family Robinson one, which DMC does have an upgraded blu-ray instead of the DVD in a collector tin. Guess the limited/minimal mar...

OK to buy

Bought one to tide me over until WD decides to release a Region 1 version. No problems. Go ahead if you want the movie and can't wait for WD to do this film justice.

Public Domain

2039 isn't that far away! My toddler might get to see it then with her children. Just wonder if she will still remember the 'zippity-do-da' song then; she loves it now. I'm pulling for Roy here - surely he can make the Legacy thing happen! If not, what tangible Disney Legacy is there? Oswald, Destin...

More Disney Animated Classic oddities

I noticed the inclusion of 'The Wild' on the official Disney site, but what struck me as more odd was the omission of 'Hercules'. Doing a movie search, Disney only has it listed as VHS and never available as DVD. Obviously, that is not true. Disney also lists 'The Reluctant Dragon', which is a bit o...

Thanks

Escapay, Thank you, this is the type of info I wanted to see. Interesting that no mention of the troubled WDT Swamp Fox - I've heard several people say they got new ones. Would love to see this information get its own tab that can be updated going forward as new issues are discovered. Fingers crossed!

Wanted Page devoted to cumulative known DVD problems

I'm a big fan of this site and Disney movies in general. I also have found useful information in the General Discussion forum regarding DVDs that were not quite up to par quality-wise (e.g. TLA Legacy Vol 1 ~ color issue and Vol 4 ~ aspect ratio). I have followed those threads and determined I have ...

Consider an alternative

Before embacing a technology that is going away (although that could mean better affordability), also consider Disney's new push for Blu-Ray rolling out this year. The format is very condusive to overloading us with bonus features due to the much higher storage capacity. Personally, I'm very relucta...

Post Pixar

I can certainly appreciate your dilemma and only offer my opinion since you asked. Pixar is top shelf stuff and is included in my animated collection. I skip out on all the near misses (Valiant, The Wild, etc), but to me the Pixar canon stands right up with the traditional animated classics. I don't...

Disney VHS

After having nearly a complete set of the animated classics on VHS and only to upgrade my collection to DVD (have 40 of 45 classics), I have found a good way to utilize my duplicates. I keep all the DVDs in my Sony multi-disc player (no handling smudges) and loaned out all the duplicate VHS to my pa...
