It was my understanding that Zorro was featured on the Disneyland television show just as Davy Crockett was. It would definitely be one of my favorite Treasures sets. As far as Song of the South coming out as a Treasure, it's really the only way I can think of for Disney to release it on a wide basi...

Now this is actually something I *approve* of. The tins are limited, the contents aren't. Selling the Treasures in a normal package allows folks to get the disks without paying through the nose. It doesn't affect the collectability of the tins at all. It's exactly the same thing they did with Lion ...

I never really liked Leonard Maltin...but I have to admit that I have a growing respect for the man. His reply two posts above have turned my attitude around. And he's right: with higher sales of this latest wave, Disney will most certainly sit up and take notice and release more waves in the future...

A previous post by someone mentioned the problems Disney would cause by only sending 50% of the distribution orders. According to the manager, Suncoast received only a small percentage of the sets that they had ordered. Luckily, I didn't trust my pre-order thru Suncoast (since Suncoast did not carr...

How in the world can auctions inflate the price when all too often the initial aucton starting bid is less than half of the cost of the item? Who inflates it?? This kind of thing happens to almost all of todays collectables. What makes it collectable in the first place all too often? The companies ...

The FACT is that auctions have sold collectables, a classic example being paintings, for sizeable profits for hundreds of years - Disney should get use to it. That's fine if we're talking about a one-of collectable or something that was produced several years ago and is no longer generally availabl...

So how's this for an idea: Disney (a mega-conglomerate) talks to eBay (the largest online goods transaction site) and asks them to pull auctions for Wave 3 DVDs. They already have a solid relationship with the Disney auctions. Disney releases their already announced print run of limited-edition &quo...

So from what I can understand about this, Disney is moving the release date, less than three weeks before they are due, because of NUMBERED TINS?!?!? What th'...?!? Have they gone so far off the deep end? Who the hell cares about numbered anything? We want a quality product! It doesn't matter that t...

Costco Treasures pack advertises 12/2
If you take a look at the repackaged "Ultimate Treasure Box" at Costco, there is a small advertisement for Wave 3 as being released on December 2. Would Disney really be willing to irritate such enormous retailers as Costco or Amazon.com? Seems their ego knows no bounds...
