Re: How's Everyone Doing?
A professional photographer is the main goal, and I luckily have a cousin in the field who can help mentor me. So far I'm averaging 80-95% on the mini-quizzes they do every so often.

I hope you are doing better Amy!
My recent news is that I've enrolled in a portrait photography course through the NY Institute of Photography. Fingers crossed that it goes well, feeling nervous about doing the big photo projects.

Re: What do you Collect?
Those dolls look gorgeous Duster! I collect such a wide variety of things - Funko Pops, figures/toys, pins, books etc. If anything, though, I collect characters. I love hunting down at least one piece of merchandise for each character - I recently added Tiana's father in the form of the Father's Day...

Mary was only a Queen at age six because her father died. Scotland was ruled, however, by regents until....dun dun duuuun she became an adult and had her coronation.

For Vanellop she's a video game character - her data/code set her as Princess Vanellope. She doesn't have parents or need to have had them to exist because she's not a biological person. Just like the toys in Toy Story don't have/need parents to exist. Think of her as being like Princess Peach - Pea...

Re: Ranking the Remakes
The sequel was just "eh" for me. Angelina Jolie was good, but I really don't care for Aurora's actress. The whole film gave me Mirror Mirror vibes.

Re: Ranking the Remakes
Going off my memory, it has been a while since I've seen a lot of these. Only listing the ones I've watched: 1 - Cinderella 2 - Aladdin 3 - Beauty and the Beast 4 - 101 Dalmatians 5 - Mulan 6 - Jungle Book (1994) 7 - The Lion King 8 - The Jungle Book 9 - Maleficent 10 - Alice In Wonderland 11 - 102 ...

Re: How's Everyone Doing?
You've got this Amy! Just remember to breathe, and don't be afraid to take a pause. While doing Toastmasters, I found when I was answering on the spot questions, it was always better to take a second to pause, and get back on track instead of rambling. When I ramble, I get panicky and ramble more. T...

Re: Gender Swapping Fairy Tales
I feel like Cinderfella would still work, he would just be shifted from indoor chores to being a stable boy. They generally don't have the same rights as the nobles, and it would still be rather fitting. The mice could also be shifted from living in the house to the stables hayloft with Cinderfella....

Re: Hocus Pocus 2
I'm on the fence. I'd love to have more Hocus Pocus, but I don't think anything will live up to the original either. I read the sequel-book and didn't enjoy it too much, it felt like the author just rewrote the original in the modern-day. Sort of like Force Awakens retreading the same plot points. I...

Re: How's Everyone Doing?
What are the pros and cons of each format, C_R? I imagine a podcast is a little easier to produce but YouTube vids might get more engagement? Or am I totally off-base? So far, for Podcast: Pros: No need to worry about green-screen taking up extra space, people can listen during their commute, don't...

Thank you!
As a general update: I've been looking into creating a Disney podcast or youtube channel. I'm not sure which way I want to go since both have ups and downs.

Re: Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life
I feel like this is just the current trend for a lot of animated work these days. It's not what we grew up with, and is likely geared more towards today's kids for the art style. I feel like the last decade or so (roughly) things are more hyper-active, fast paced, gogogogogogo in order to keep up wi...

Loving how this is looking. Great cast, the animation looks good, and sounds like a good storyline potential.

Re: Disney Princess Criticism - What's Your Opinion?
Something that occurred to me, is that the original trio of princesses has similarities to the renaissance trio. Perhaps a bit of a stretch, but worth considering? Snow White - Ariel: Their voice was a large part of what attracted their prince. Their looks were also commented upon, Snow White was ta...

Re: Disney Princess Criticism - What's Your Opinion?
I'm curious about what kids think. As adult fans, it's so easy to go down the rabbit hole in analyzing every little detail and find things that only adults would notice. Kids don't have as many years of experience, and may not even pick up on things. They see pretty princesses, and dashing princes r...

Disney Board Games
My first new topic in years! During my hiatus, I became addicted to board games. The last three years or so, there's been a ton of great Disney ones released and thought it would be a fun topic. Here's a short list: Villainous + 4 expansions: Play as your favorite villains! Each villain has their ow...

Re: Jungle Cruise discussion
This was one of my favorites when I went to Disneyland in 2019! As someone who loves a good pun, listening to the skippers is a lot of pun. I remember we went at night during the fireworks, and walked right on while everyone was occupied with the show. Having the jungle light up was pretty nifty.

Currently working my way through some of Zane Grey's westerns. Now that I have a library card again it's nice being able to have access to books while mine are in storage.
