Re: If you HAD to greenlight a sequel to a Disney classic, which one (and why)?

I think I read it while browsing posts and threads on here. After Jungle Book was a huge success, Disney thought about making a sequel. Especially after Walt died and they didn't know what to do. Disney released a record with new Jungle book songs to see if there was public interest but the record ...

:o Ooooh. I'm sorry but this response I can't leave unchecked. :o You would really compare Aslan, the embodiment of Jesus Christ and messiah savior, to bad CGI with no human emotion whatsoever??? Like what?? Is it just me or has Disney visual effects gone down. Like Narnia looked wonderful. The pir...

Re: The Cheapquels were also trying to fix the mistakes of their predecessors, not only the Remakes

that to me seems very odd. Two disney projects with the exact same story? It's not a common story not for Disney anyway and definitely not a fairy tale so both projects coming around the same time happened to feature a fairy godmother wand turning back time? And you said they used the same song wri...

This sounds like a good idea but I don't like Maleficnet being Phillips mother. I think that doesn't make sense. All that time she held him captive it never came up??? Or Hubert never mentions she's his wife in the opening scene? King and queen would feel comfortable marrying into her family?...

Really? :) Why did you want a sequel to Dinosaur ? I`m just curious :) Because it’s my favourite out of all the Walt Disney feature animated movies :-) my mom and I love this movie, and I’ve always loved dinosaurs, as well as obviously the aforementioned land before time, and the story and morality...

Re: Wish

So if I may ask, per your Username, you believe that twilight is a great example of womanhood and female empowerment? More so than Disney? Yes I think Twilight is a great example of womanhood and female empowerment. It was written by women for women. The reason it gets so much hate online is becaus...

Re: Wish

Jennifer Lee leaned too heavily into an audience’s desire to hunt for Easter Eggs versus telling a good Disney classic story. An insider reached out to me regarding the Wish Easter Eggs. This source attended several audience test screenings of Wish—the first in February of 2023. In the first screen...

Re: The Cheapquels were also trying to fix the mistakes of their predecessors, not only the Remakes

Glad to see that really was the case. I think the Tarzan movie would need to be much longer for him to go to England. Like it needs at least two parts so I wonder why they didn't make a sequel with him going to England. Maybe they felt they were copying Pocahontas 2 but a lot of their sequels copie...

The adult Mufasa or whoever next to Rafiki Has a decent bit of expression if you ask me, just as much or more so than Aslan In the Narnia movies :-) :o Ooooh. Re: What do you think Bob Iger could learn from Walt Disney?

Absolutely nothing. Walt Disney was a god-fearing family man with love for all.

Bob Iger is a cutthroat capitalist who only cares about $$$ and will sell out to Zionist shills. Their names should never been taken together in the same sentence.

The French Sleeping Beauty fairy tale actually continued beyond the happily ever after with the Prince bringing his new princess bride to his kingdom and his half ogress mother the queen tries to eat the princess and her kids while the Prince is away at war. I always thought they could do a sequel ...

Re: To those who don't like Modern Disney Songs, what's your problem with it?

I noticed a definite lack of quality in the scores post-Pocahontas.... just my opinion. The “hits” I had on various collections (Out There, Go The Distance, I Won’t Say It, Reflection, etc), so I didn’t feel the need to buy the individual CDs. I didn’t care for the songs in Tarzan and the later fil...

Re: Greatest Villain Of All Time

My favorites are all females. When it comes to villains, no one tops the ladies in my book. In chronological order: The Evil Queen Lady Tremaine The Queen of Hearts Maleficent Cruella DeVil Madam Mim Madam Medusa Ursula agreed, I think the female villains are generally the best. It's funny because ...

Cinderella 3 was actually based off a cruise ship show for Cinderella. Called Twice Charmed I think. Stepmother gets an evil fairy godmother who grants her wish to rob Cinderella of her happy ending. This is actually untrue. The filmmakers of Cinderella III made a similar story to Twice Charmed, bu...

The last Disney musicals I watched were the Frozen movies and I was not impressed. Way too poppish and not enough classic vibes. The only thing that felt somewhat like it could be a Disney song was the First time in Forever song. I think the worst one was Love opens doors with the twist prince. I fe...

Re: If you HAD to greenlight a sequel to a Disney classic, which one (and why)?

Bambi because it's based on a book and that book had a sequel with Bambi and his children. A Sleeping Beauty sequel would also be nice because I really love the dreamy, melancholic, fairy tale vibes of the movie and I would love to be brought back into that world again. I also love their soundtrack...

I love the classics the most!! Snow White, Cinderella, Alice, Wendy, and Aurora. I think they're the strongest Disney heroines and prove that to be strong u dont need to wave around a sword in your hand whether you're a man or a woman. Love how even decades later their popularity is still going stro...

I'm sorry but I don't agree. I've never been offended by the sequels the way I've been offended by basically all the remakes including the ones I've never watched! Fair enough. Pocahontas 2 is the only one that I think was made because of criticms about historical accuracy but it only makes s...

Re: The Cheapquels were also trying to fix the mistakes of their predecessors, not only the Remakes

As we all know, if there`s one staple that the Disney Live Action remakes have been stuck with (at least by us fanboys and nerds), is how they`re meant to fix the criticisms lobbed at their originals. While it`s not true in all cases, it`s certainly true in the cases of Beauty and the Beast , Aladd...
