Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

The Trailer has now almost 200k  dislikes :milkbuds: compared to 90k likes. I didnt knew it comes out the same day as Sonic 3, I can see a new Barbenheimer situation with this, with the majority watching S3 to show their distaste to that Mufasa thing. Its gonna flop. I think it will make Wish...

He can do a Winnie the Pooh story.
Has he ever talked about Winnie the Pooh, either?
No, but I think he could pull it off.

Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

I'm kind of surprised that LMM is working on this, as unlike Little Mermaid, I don't think he's ever talked about Lion King. But I mean, he already worked on the Mermaid remake and I guess it was too late for him to work on Moana 2, so it's not like he has that many more worlds to conquer. He can d...

Re: Moana

Typical of Iger to blindside filmmakers with surprise announcements during earnings calls to drive up the stock and impress Wall Street. Well, he can't do that with Tiana's series on Disney+ now that EVERYONE, IMO, is expecting it to be hand-drawn. He can try but I won't let him. The only thing he ...

Maybe he was adopted into their ways.

Sorry for the double post, but I found a new interview Barry Jenkins did with Empire Magazine, where he revealed some more new details about Mufasa: The Lion King: https://www.empireonline.com/movies/fea ... ongs-more/.

Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

After having turned off The Lion King remake 10 minutes into viewing it and having never seen it in full or no desire to see it at any point in the future, this trailer leaves me... cold. The fact that the intensely overused Lin Manuel Miranda is doing the songs does not help... I seriously don't u...

Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

It'll be ironic if Moana 2 wins Best Song at the Academy Awards. I doubt either will win though. So do we expect Zazu to have a rap? Zazubutt? Timon and Pumbaa? Come on, dude. There won’t be any rap songs in this movie. There weren’t any in the original Moana, there wasn’t even one in Encanto. I do...

Re: Mufasa: The Lion King (Live-Action)

I did not expect Lin-Manuel Miranda to be doing the songs for this movie. Guess Barry Jenkins wasn’t lying when he said he didn’t want to reveal who was doing the songs for this movie yet because he was too special to reveal there at CinemaCon. Guess we now know why he isn’t doing the songs for Moan...

Farerb wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2024 1:09 am Why does it look like they just copy pasted young Simba from the remake on a generic background?
I don’t necessarily see it that way, cuz I can clearly see the difference between young Simba and young Mufasa, having seen the 2019 movie and this picture.

Well, maybe I can’t, but the trailer could, especially since the people at CinemaCon now believe as such after seeing it there.

Tomorrow, during ABC’s Good Morning America, catch the world premiere teaser trailer for Disney’s #Mufasa: #TheLionKing, directed by Barry Jenkins, only in theaters December 20th. Here’s an HD 1st look image from the movie of an expressive baby Mufasa showing emotion, an improvement from 2019’s rema...

Re: Tiana (Disney+ Series)

Hmm, so maybe that's the big decision they have, do a series in CG, or a movie hand drawn. I have a feeling regardless of the medium, a movie is the better way to go. Disney doesn't have the best track record for telling stories in a series anyway. You take that back! Iwaju, Recess, Tangled The Ser...

Someone recently asked Skyler Shuler, in The DisInsider's mailbag for this week, what the status of the Disney+ Tiana series was. Here's what he said (which can be found in this link here: https://thedisinsider.com/2024/04/24/the-disinsider-mailbag/)... "What’s the status of Tiana tv show? do y...

Bruh, the first sentence sound so passive-aggressive and creepy coming from you, PatchofBlue , hehe  But I do agree with your last paragraph, The Boy and the Heron winning doesn't really mean the whole animation industry will have a major shift in doing hand-drawn animation again. It happened ...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney

Disney has an open animator position for their Vancouver studio and they are looking for all kind of animator including hand drawns animators. Maybe there is a possibility that this studio was created to make 2d project , but that may be a stretch because they've always had a few 2d animators at th...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney

If Disney+ is so frowned upon, how come there are still projects in the works being made for Disney+, even unannounced ones like Wonder-Man and Vision Quest over at Marvel Studios, that Inside Out series at Pixar, etc.? Also, if WDAS Vancouver was in danger of shutting down, they wouldn’t have gone ...

So, Bloofy is basically Blue from Blue’s Clues and the Disney character Goofy combined…
