Re: Ducktales 30th anniversary!

While I'm super excited to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of easily my favorite Disney Afternoon era series, I do feel the need to also point out that this year is the 25th anniversary of the DA series Goof Troop . It's also the 25th anniversary of Raw Toonage and the character of Bonkers D. B...

Re: What's the biggest cheap Disney rip-off?

Has anyone here seen Phelan "Phelous" Porteous's review of Dingo Pictures, Golden Films, and Goodtimes's animated films (most of the films were made to cash in on Disney's films)? Very funny stuff, albeit on the R-rated side.

Re: Fundraiser for a Disney TV Animation book and documentar

Update: It's now split into two volumes, and they're now raising money on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo at the same time. Which is weird, but I wish them luck.

Re: Where do collectors go from here?

I'd be content with digital downloads. But I'd wonder what would happen to audio commentaries and subtitles. Can MP4s have switchable audio and subtitle tracks?

I think the easiest thing to do would be to have Spider-Ham and all related characters exist in the same universe as Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Scrooge, Darkwing and co. They'd fit together like a glove.

I think they might be able to use Silver Samurai, since in the past, Marvel was able to use Wolverine and other X-Men-related characters in the "Hulk vs." feature, but weren't able to use the Silver Surfer in "Planet Hulk", so I think Fox's deal with the X-Men excludes animation,...

Question about the Muppets Wocka-Wocka Value Pack

Is the "Inside Walter's Trailer" feature available on the iTunes version of the digital copy or the Windows Media version or both?

Considering the lack of the Brian Henson commentary, I have a bad feeling that this will have the shorter theatrical version only. So, I 'd suggest we all write letters and/or make phone calls to Disney's customer service. I know that a widescreen version of the longer version exists, since it was r...

But if UD does close, hopefully it won't, then at least the forum will be available so that we may search in it and re-read all the discussions and see all the links and pictures posted, even though we might not longer write on it? I hope so too. Also, all the DVD reviews and other features from Ul...

Disney should stop trying to swallow up outside properties. Wasn't that part of the problem of Eisner's reign, and why they eventually had to sell the Mighty Ducks and Angels? The company became too big to manage. If anything, they should be losing dead weight and spend less by creating their own c...

My new Facebook page regarding MarvelDisney and reprints

Last week, I started a Facebook page entitled DisneyMarvel, always pay royalties on reprinted material . The catalyst was the Jack Kirby Estate's loss against Marvel in the courts , but it should should be noted that both Marvel and Disney have a history of treating comic creators poorly in terms of...

Paying all the comic book creators and/or their estates/families/heirs royalties every time their work was reprinted would be high on my list of priorities. (this goes for both Disney Comics and Marvel) Getting all the TV cartoons (including those inherited from FOX Kids and Saban) available on DVD ...

Just to spread the word, there's a Facebook page , and a website dedicated to encouraging Disney to exploit their vintage film and TV library through this service. I highly recommend participating. And as for what I want released through this line? DuckTales * Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers * Darkwing...
