Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
I came across the most nightmare fuel live-action version of the Witch I have seen and wonder what the film would have been like if she followed that look. I also just wanted to post the image somewhere and this was the place I picked:

Re: Hexed
But Alice in Wonderland (2010) made over a billion, and The Wizard of Oz is the most beloved film on this planet. Well, I did say either here or the first thread where I started talking about it that Alice is lifted by being known as a classic piece of literature. Oz though--and Harry Potter for th...

Re: Hexed
But there's still the problem of having a character from a normal world go into a strange one thst is a boring concept--the thing that tanks most sci-fi films. It works better when the strange comes into the normal world a la Lilo & Stitch, The Iron Giant, or even TLM (Ariel in the human world)...

Re: Alice in Wonderland Discussion
Some of it sounds original and cool, but also a lot sounds like the 2010 live-action.

Re: Alice in Wonderland Discussion
Thanks God this is getting a new 4K restoration! The former member Disneykid must be ecstatic!
There’s a silver/white cover with Alice in a keyhole and blue covers with Alice with characters in her pinafore. Which is the cover? Will there be 2/3 covers for different releases?

Even though the book you re-posted the cover of had bad illustrations, I loved the book as a child so dearly.

Oh it’s made by them?! I agree with you, Patricier.
Except…I will still be seeing it because it’s a Cinderella movie lol.

Re: Tangled (Live-Action)
Sandy Powell’s doing the costumes?!! Yay! Now, yes, I was extremely disappointed with Snow White’s costumes, but I think I know the problem there. She said herself Snow White was so iconic she couldn’t deviate from the original design too much. That’s why her hair was short after all. Now, I don’t k...

Re: Stepsisters (Live-Action)
I feel like at least one woman should co-write the script for a movie from females’ point of view, but then again I think Death Becomes Her on Broadway had all its words come from the pens of men and that was excellent.

I won’t be watching the special myself, as I do not like the doll. Cinderella is fashionable and this doll is nothing impressive.

Re: Ranking the Snow Whites
I really like the Happily Ever After Snow White character the best. She’s so endearing. I love the Tale of Terror hag. She is scary, great costume, but even jokes by saying “Boo!” and talking about when she was young having lots of boyfriends. I guess she’s my fave hag though the 1937 one is scary! ...

Re: Untitled Pixar Musical
So the metaphor doesn’t really make sense. That was my point. And yeah, it is more about the sexuality and rebellion that come with the time girls get periods, true. I dunno the movie just plain did not interest me and I hardly remember how it went. Honestly Disney and Pixar haven’t made much good m...

Re: Untitled Pixar Musical
I have never complained about the buddy movie from Pixar, I didn’t complain when Pixar went against the norm and did Brave, and I didn’t throw a fit. The movie just didn’t interest me or even make sense to me. How was a little girl supposed to have the choice to get rid of her period like the adults...
