Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
So...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TxoXWqBCIg When you hear about this stuff, you understand why the Disney execs make the choices they're currently making. Some of you would reply that this has nothing to do with the Snow White remake while I believe it has A LOT to do with it. The times we live...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
To be honest, I don’t think I’ll be watching this film. I haven’t watched the sequel to Enchanted among other titles that have been released the past two or three years. I’m not even sure I’ll be watching The Little Mermaid anymore even though I still might because I would be curious to see how the ...

Re: Don Bluth News & Discussion
Actually I have known about this project for more than a decade but I just assumed that the whole world knew about it so I never really mentioned it Haha. I am slowly preparing something revolving around lost/cancelled animated films so I’ve been going through some old files and interviews of mine a...

I was not sure where to post this but here it is.
Visual development for the heroine and the evil witch from Don Bluth’s cancelled version of Rapunzel (1992).

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Live action Mulan = 💣 Again,I’m not asking about financial or what do you even think about the movie, but how well it overall did in streaming, which means that it could’ve been successful At least in some kind of way. Geez, why are we as a species becoming more and more immature and like our suppo...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
Honestly, all of these news are beyond depressing. Some films should be left alone. To me, Disney’s Snow White is like Gone With The Wind, a masterpiece that is almost a miracle in terms of filmmaking. Both films are still gorgeous and relevant to this day and both films are miracles when it comes t...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
It is quite possible that they’re trying to hold on to the film as much as possible to make sure that it gets a theatrical release which makes sense to me. I mean, If there’s one title that should be released in movie theatres it is The Little Mermaid for not only its scenery but also its CGI work. ...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
No, I'm not. It looks charming. Thank you for letting me know. My pleasure. :) Are you familiar with the Russian animated version from 1957 ? It's quite faithful to the text by Andersen. In my opinion, it's even better as it gets rid of the unnecessary subplots. Which subplots did you find unnecess...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I wish Maleficent had been a real Sleeping Beauty remake. After Snow White, I hope they consider Princess and the Frog, Tangled and Frozen. I feel like those will come eventually. I hope they don't consider The Princess and the Frog. I don't want creepy unappealing CGI frogs, or realistic CGI of Lo...

Re: Cinderella (Sony)
Do you think I should check it out ? I can't stand Camila these days but I am ready to watch the film as I love Cinderella but if you say that romance is not that important to the character, I don't think I should watch it.

It always makes me happy when people appreciate Aurora.. She's beyond underrated and doesn't deserve the title of worst Disney princess.

Re: LGBT Disney
I think a company like Disney has a hard task to overcome while trying to become more diverse and inclusive. They have to walk a thin line between maintaining the audience they already have while introducing new ideas and content that may be “unfamiliar” to their audience. The LGBTQIA+ Community is...

Re: Cinderella (Sony)
It's hilarious to me that this film is being marketed as a modern reinvention of Cinderella as if that concept was new. It's been done for years if not decades. The only reason I could have been interested in it would have been with a doll to promote the film but apparently they're not producing any...

Re: The Barbie Animated Movies
They still won the case Haha.. I am sure that Mattel could have ignored that, changed her name and make the film anyway but I'm sure Disney would have punished them by taking their licence away from them for the Disney dolls and other toys.
