remember that widescreen tvs dominate europe. a lot of stuff is shown 16:9 over there much like fullscreen over here.

My THX laserdisc always had some chroma noise on the first five minutes on each side of disc 1. this always bothered me. aside from that though the disc was gorgeous, second in quality only to Beauty and the Beast. Return to Jafar was not episodes. I bought it when it first came out on laserdisc. It was a new DTV movie. And IMHO quite good.
