Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
Yeah well, maybe it isn't just me that's the problem here but also all of YOU . The way I see it, Disney isn't what it should be anymore because CGI CORRUPTED THEM , just as it's corrupted our culture and every member on this forum who dare believes that the stuff coming out of Disney today is good....

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
He was lying when he called a " truce " not that long ago. I'd block him, but then I'd still have to shift past responses to his autistic outbursts. :glare: I wasn't lying when I wrote it. I guess as long as Disney is the way that it is today, I'm always going to have conflict here. I don...

Every time I see another post in the KH thread, I'm just: make it stop!?!?!? >< You should all know what has to be done for this to end. Disney needs to correct everything they've don...

Re: Zootopia
Thanks for sharing that with me. Now I can chew out Tangled 's director just like I did Frozen 's. He'll just block you like she did. You need to stop harassing Disney employees on Twitter. They have no saying over the medium chosen for their films, anyway. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
You know that comment about 2D animation being just "more vaudeville" makes me a little sad that that's how it's viewed and makes me wish more and more people nowadays would see this. It's not a Disney production, but it is just a reminder of how not only 2D animation, but family entertai...

Re: Zootopia
The only reason I think the CG animation overall looks to be better in Zootopia compared to Chicken Little is that computer animation is generally in a state of technical improvement as a general medium and Chicken Little was made with artists who didn't have much training in computer animation. Yo...

Re: Zootopia
I get what you mean given the humanoid animals, but I think in terms of animation and design, it looks better. Story-wise and in terms of entertainment value, we'll have to wait until March (given that the current trailer is so ambiguous), but I think something would really have to go amuck for it ...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
The way 2D artists are being treated by today's management makes me sick. Remind me again why I should still give the Disney studio and their CG movies praise when this is what's going on behind-the-scenes?

Re: Zootopia
This reminds me of Chicken Little. Anyone else get that feel from the movie? Like we need another Chicken Little from Disney. They've never really been their true selves ever since that movie came into existence. Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh really seemed to be bringing Disney back aga...

Re: BREAKING NEWS: KINGDOM HEARTS 3 ANNOUNCED AT E3 for PS4
Well I do hate Tangled , for the fact that it killed Disney's so-called hand-drawn revival that they should have been more focused on than still wanting their movies to be computer animated. It's thanks to that movie that all of the current animated features in the works from Disney are forced to on...

Re: BREAKING NEWS: KINGDOM HEARTS 3 ANNOUNCED AT E3 for PS4
Yeah, people say they want 2D animation back, but then they're also happy to see the very movies killing it off brought into Kingdom Hearts as new worlds and are going to be out buying this game because of those movies. Makes no sense. All I'm going to say is, if there's no Princess and the Frog wor...

Re: BREAKING NEWS: KINGDOM HEARTS 3 ANNOUNCED AT E3 for PS4
I have no interest in playing Pixar Worlds though, I hope they keep them to a minimum if they are to be included. It would be so annoying if Toy Story, Brave, Cars or whatever takes the place of classic Disney Animation Worlds like Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty an...

Re: Hand-Drawn Animation Dead at Disney
I should have known today's Nickelodeon wouldn't be cool enough for something like that. They get props for the new SpongeBob movie being mostly hand-drawn, but there's no denying that Nick is no longer the same great children's network that it was in the 90's. However, if this is true, then it seem...

Re: Dreamworks in talks to have Disney as it's new distribut
^ That's a bit melodramatic. On the one hand, I guess it's good that Disney doesn't own everything --yet. On the other, maybe it would be better for those movies (as far as re-releases go) to be owned by Disney in the long run since Dreamworks might not be around 10-15 years from now? Okay, well I ...

Re: Dreamworks in talks to have Disney as it's new distribut
Well that's a relief.
It would have been such a sick irony if Disney really did become the distributor for the very animation studio that turned them away from hand-drawn animation in the first place. DreamWorks should be considered their enemy for that, not their friend.

Re: Whatever happened to Rescue Rangers Volume 3
What puzzles me is ...wasn't "DuckTales" and "Darkwing Duck" a lot more popular than "Gargoyles"? I don't get their mind of thinking when it comes to releases. In their hey day, sure. But neither show, nor any of Disney's other series, can compete to the cult following...

my fear is that by the time it comes back I'll be in my 70's with bad eyesite/hearing/memory...blah! I wanna enjoy the 2nd coming of traditional animation NOWSIES! :P And we were having one, until Disney decided after only two movies that it wasn't worth pressing on and keeping their word t...
