I don't know man. I think this happens everywhere. Here in Brazil, there are pretty much four things that can happen to a movie title. 1) They come up with their own name for the movie which never comes even close to the original, most of the time, overexplaining the plot or making silly wordplays (...

I think 'Princess and the Frog' didn't do so well because people don't believe in traditional animation anymore. I personally feel that in today's world of entertainment, what the public wants is partially what the studios tell them to want. If kids today feel CG films are better than hand drawn, I'd wager a good part of it is because they have been trained to feel that way and because they don't really know ...
