I thought of some more
Anteater - Seen only in the Lion King when they shouldn't have been there! Should have been in Enchanto.
Manatee - Should have been in Princess and the Frog.

Re: What animal species would you like to see more in Disney animation?
I think they covered up basically all animals, especially bears, im more invested in which Tales starring animals they could adapt: How about Rudyard Kipling's "The White Seal" or the Dot and the Kangaroo? they never did theatrical Wolfs other than the rushed ones in Beauty and the Beast ...

What animal species would you like to see more in Disney animation?
I've been thinking about the different animals that have had little if any presence in Disney animation and feel like Disney should use them more, be it as background characters or in the spotlight. Giant panda: As I recall, its only appeared briefly in Mulan and as a reporter in the Chinese version...

Re: Zootopia 2
Yes please have marine mammals! I personally think they should be in their own city that starts at a beach and goes deep underwater. Residents include sea otters, sea lions, elephant seals, walruses, dolphins, orcas, belugas, humpbacks and manatees. Most undersea animated films focus on fish and mar...

Re: Would Disney animation adapt a trilogy
Apparently the opposite is true. Things got surprisingly far—some absolutely exquisite concept art was developed by artist Claire Keane (it’s the black and white pictures you can find on her website here), and an art department was set up, which even distributed a Christmas card featuring Death dres...

Re: Would Disney animation adapt a trilogy
Was it required that they adapt the whole series? Why didn't they just adapt Mort by itself anyway?

Would Disney animation adapt a trilogy
Disney nowadays has no problem making sequels but would they adapt a book trilogy or would that be too risky? Is adapting book trilogies risker for animation than live action?

Just sayin'. If they are ever going to upload more, then 2023 during their 100th anniversary will be the most likely time.Big Disney Fan wrote:

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
With Disney's 100 anniversary coming next year, I would imagine Disney+ would upload more classic stuff. For the shorts, I think it would be best to just upload them in packages like episodes of a TV show, at least the ones that are part of a series. One for Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Silly Symph...

The Donald Duck cartoon Trick or Treat is coming to Disney+ in September. Hopefully they'll release more Halloween-themed shorts in October like the Skeleton Dance.

Would Pixar have been as successful without Disney?
Given that Toy Story came out on the heels of the early Renaissance films and was thought of as a Disney film, I think probably not. But it still would have been successful.

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
If there is no love for the shorts, they would never have released them on Disney Plus at all. We should probably be thankful they released any of them to begin with. I know I am. Well, I agree and disagree with this. While I appreciate the fact that they are including the shorts on Disney+, someho...

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
The quality for "The Brave Little Tailor" is also fairly awful, worse than the 2001 Mickey In Color DVD. It's also the only cartoon, as far as I know, that has the Buena Vista logo rather than RKO. I figured they would add the latest restored version. When they first give BLT its own box ...

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
Wow, so much for Disney having restored all their classic shorts then. That's clearly not the case if they feel the need to use old masters from the Have a Laugh DVDs. The few shorts I watched must have been from the Treasures DVD set like the Silly Symphonies and some of the Donald ones so that's ...

Re: John Lasseter Accused of Sexual Assault
