I am a big fan of AVGN, since 2007 at least. So now that the movie is almost out, I am pretty excited to see the final product.

I've been watching his videos since late 2007 (I also enjoy the other videos he posts as well). I am a little disappointed he's not screening it anywhere in Michigan but that would just delay the release of the DVD further and further back. I am also glad he's using little to no CGI and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

The movie will have a digital release this September 2.

And Doug Walker recently reviewed the AVGN movie:

He enjoyed it as a whole, and said the plot was well crafted.

I loved his point on models vs. CG. I agree that most movies nowadays are too dependent of CG effects and no longer even attempt to use "real" effects such as models, claymation, etc. James Rolfe is a very big movie buff, so I am glad to see him incorporate such tools.
