I agree with you that Obama is a terrible President. And I agree on the bailouts and his utter failure to deal with the economy.
But you also have to know those weren't on my hit list for the day. I was talking about racism and I'll continue to, here.
jpanimation wrote:How is this any different then Bush?
Because
nobody voted for Bush because he was white. Al Gore was his competition, they were both white.
Most of the righties voted for the wrong guy and the majority voted for Gore. During the 2008 election, the righties knew Obama would win.
Almost all of them wanted his and Hilary's head on a stick. Because they were Democrats. For awhile, they were pretty confident Obama couldn't win.
When they realized they were wrong (and I knew about Acorn before November ever came thank you), they knew the
majority would vote for McCain
because of racism. It's alive and still thriving! So, they start attacking his birth certificate and harp even more on socialism scare tactics
to perpetuate the same public racist sentiments. And of course - claiming he hates white people. Which is utter bull$h!t. Yet is just perfect because people want to believe it.
There are still many millions of idiots in the U.S. who watch Fox News. They want to believe Obama hates white people because he's a powerful black man.
Yeah, he's a disappointment. But most of the black people who voted for him don't care.
If the hate over Obama had anything to do with simple disappointment - the only people who are voicing disappointment are us gays.
We're the ones who understand the fight he had to fight because of our shared minority issues. And he spit right in our faces, multiple times.
To black people, he's still a hero. And angry white people blamed them before and after the election, they see blacks as responsible for him becoming President.
Which isn't true. Voter fraud is what made him President. But what's the difference? The Right are using racism to get white people to hate him. They have all along.
jpanimation wrote:Millions of people hated Bush before he even took office, said he stole the election and never gave him a chance.
Are you suggesting he was unaware about the vote tampering which is responsible for him being allowed to take office? Or that you are unaware?
jpanimation wrote:Look at all the big personalities that said he hated Black people and caused Katrina out of his racism.
From what I can tell, you're getting facts mixed up. As far as the public knows, Kanye West didn't say Bush caused Katrina, nor that he hated black people.
What he and others implied is that Bush and the people he appointed to help the victims of Katrina were apathetic because they were black
(as in- why should they care anyway?), that they were cheap in what little efforts they made to help, and lazy in getting anything done in a reasonable amount of time.
Meanwhile, while they weren't doing anything- MAJOR devastation was being caused to homes and property and these people were suffering.
Yet, countless people weren't paying attention because many of the victims were black. And it's a fact Bush and the people he appointed to take care of this problem
did not care and did practically nothing to help anyone. That was more than enough reason for any "personality" to say at least what Kanye said about Bush!!
I'm really not sure what kind of point you were trying to make with that example, but you have no hope of making Bush look like a lesser or equal evil to Obama when you mention Katrina.
jpanimation wrote:Lies of Obama being a scary Marxist (or former Marxist, as his college class mates claim) are similar to the lies of Bush being a fascist Nazi. It's all partisan scare tactics.
Really? I'd like to hear some details about what Bush did before November 2000 that earned him nicknames such as "fascist" and "Nazi."
I don't really recall hearing them prior to the moment it was announced that Gore wasn't President anymore.
Certainly that's a prime example of fascism in U.S. history if there ever was one. Though we both know Obama was called a socialist
before he "won" in '08.
jpanimation wrote:I'm not sure why the hate against a white president can be so easily dismissed but the hate against a black president is inexcusable.
Because the fact that no one ever game Obama a chance to prove he was scum before they attacked him is motivated by racism.
It's practically a non-issue now to people like you because you know he's scum for reasons that have nothing to do with his race.
But there is still proof of widespread racism against this guy that has nothing to do with what he's actually doing in office.
