I had no intention of doing so. In fact, I expected that I would have the opportunity to state my opinions without any interference.
Whoops. It's just another painstaking example of the fact that we're in a war right now but more fighting is taking place right inside our own nation. I'm stating simple facts, that would not be facts if people's lives were not at stake. Yet they are pawns in the conservative media's little egomaniacal games...I guess if the majority of the public were smarter, they could not be so easily manipulated. Then no one would pay attention to anything any celebrity said. But they started this, and I'm damn well going to have my say, whenever I choose to exercise it.

So you think he should've destroyed the 2nd Amendment
Did you actually read my post? You would see I strongly support the 2nd Amendment. But you are apparently incapable of reading. Why do you reply to posts you don't read?

If you think most Republicans actually want to stop terrorism (which to a large degree is a myth they invented), you are really living in a dream world.

Are you actually under the delusion that people are living well in the U.S. right now??? Almost everyone I know (nearly a hundred people) and talk to frequently would beg to differ with you. And about half of them even vote for Democrats. However -
all of them agree life was 1,000,000,000 times better and easier and more tolerable under Clinton. Then...there's that nasty little Trillion-Dollar Deficit in the National Budget. And those funky reports about how consumers are spending less money at Christmas time under W. Bush than other Presidents prior. And gas prices.
Stop me if you've heard these before.

Fox News - the single weakest media source of information - is run by
Republicans, genius.

Both sides are idiots when it comes to health care.

You've got your information mixed up. There's no such thing as a perfect President, but they were
a lot better than the Bushes, Nixon, and Reagen. At least
their stupidity didn't cost many millions of lives.

He was a public figure and he was living large most of his professional career. He got enough respect when he was alive. And since the person most interested in him in his final years was Michael Moore... I don't feel the least bit out of line with saying this.

You truly don't belong on a Disney site.
You can't tell me I don't belong on a Disney site because you think all Disney fans should be Republicans. That's ridiculous.
I have every right to hold this man accountable for the irresponsible things he did when he was alive. It's just sad that in his later years he could stick up for gun rights but didn't have the guts to care about people's rights as much as he did for inanimate objects. He let senility get the better of him. But that's the Republican weakness in him I would figure.
You have a funny way of judging intelligence.
Timon/Pumbaa fan wrote:Yeah but these are idiots who insulted Charlton Heston. I'm paying respect to the recently deceased by saying I admired how he put up with these losers.
They sure as hell were a lot more responsible celebrities than Heston was. I do however also admire his ability to keep from getting involved in public disputes with other celebrities. Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, and Donald Trump could have taken a lesson from him.
Mr. Toad wrote:One thing that always gets lost when talking about Heston was his Civil Rights record. People look at the support for Republicans and the gun control stuff (which I thought made him look like an absolute nutcase at times). But he also marched with Rev. Martin Luthor King and was very pro Civil Rights. Sometimes you have to forget the lavels that get put on people and look at the total person.
As a total person, he wasn't perfect. Short diagnosis.
And I'll never say he doesn't deserve points for that. But that was a long time ago. Today, black students can "be" black in 75% or more American public high schools without being targets for violent hatred. Socially and politially, it's hugely taboo to refuse or deny rights for blacks. The same cannot be said for gays in high school. Less than 10% of today's high schools it's safe to be "out" in. If it weren't for the hatred of today's Republican party and the fact that they haven't progressed at all on social issues involving gays - this country would be a safer, more American place. That fact can never be denied and it's beyond outrageous that so many people support a system and government so screwed up. If we can't guarantee rights and privilages to all Americans - what can we guarantee?
