Today I saw Hairspary & Superbad.

Hairspary was all I had hoped for and more. Great songs, wonderful cast, and so many colours. Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen Latifah looked astounding. Amanda Bynes & Zac were unbelievably cute as usual. And they somehow made Christopher Walken & John Travolta (in drag) a cute couple. I loved every second!

As for Superbad. Wow. Very very funny yet strangely realistic. I feel that although good I'd say that Knocked Up was a tad enjoyable yet FAR less quotable.

Yesterday I saw "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." It was a really funny movie, I didn't know David Spade was in the movie either.

Hairspray(2007)-I saw it AGAIN! IT WAS SOOO GOOD!

The Apple Dumpling Gang and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again. Both very ejoyable, and Tim Conway and Don Knotts are just a joy to watch together. Gonna dig out "Hot Lead & Cold Feet" and watch that one next.

Ghost World (2001) - A+. Quite possibly the best film of the new millennium.

The Bourne Ultimatum

It was good! I did not see the first ones before seeing this one but I found it great anyway. I wasn't bored

I recently watched I Know Who Killed Me and I must say that it was one of the stupidest movies ever! It made no sense, the acting was horrible and it was boring. Lindsay Lohan's career is just about over.

Stop the presses! Check the temperature down below, I believe that I am going to totally agree with Lazario on this one. What a wonderful movie. Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi are all totally excellent. Highly recommended viewing.

Slums of Beverly Hills (1998) - A- : freakishly depressing, but anarchically gleeful about it's ugliness. Can't feel bad for most of the characters. And if nothing else, Natasha Lyonne is incredible! But the supporting cast are great and the writing is bizarre enough to keep you watching.


Guarding Tess (1994) - A : didn't watch the beginning (19 minutes), but I've seen it before and of course will pick it up again later - roommate has the DVD. Single-handedly, the most interesting thing Nicolas Cage ever did (after Valley Girl).

Slugs (1987) - C- : not the worst of it's type. Scenes play through with scattered, varied degrees of quality. Some of the acting is bad and over the top, some is pretty naturalistic and believable. Some of the dialogue is terrible, some is really inspired. Not much humor, the plot was maybe a little too serious. The special effects are very decent but there's not much gore overall - I was expecting a lot more than there was. The lead actor was decent. The death scenes were a little too intensely over-played for me (especially the naked teenagers in bed sequence). And the music score was laughable in most instances. Way too old-fashioned and string-oriented for 1987. I don't know if I really liked it, but it wasn't as bad as one might expect. The thing I liked the most was the small-town New York setting and the autumn feel of everything. It was set on Halloween day, but... the only Halloween decorations you'll see are maybe 3 jack-o-lanterns.

Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland (1951)

I love this movie, it's nice sometimes to not have to make sense about anything, and just being random and well odd.

Just got back from seeing The Nanny Diaries with Laura Linney and Scarlett Johansson. Wow! What a movie. Not the comedy that the trailers make it out to be, but a very strong look at the way the elite raise their kids by using Nanny's and not having any interaction with their own child, and then wondering why they turn out to be so strange. Paul Giamatti is also in this at "Mr. X" and he is the kid's father, who doesn't even know him. He thinks if he throws all this money at him, the kid will turn out okay. No relationship at all. Chris Evans has a featured role as 'Harvard Hottie', the guy who just wants to get to know Annie (Johansson). I recommend this movie to all who are fans of real entertainment, and don't want to be conned by Hollywood that life is just a bowl of cherries. Highly recommended. I will give this a strong 4/5 stars.

I sat through "Are We Done Yet?", so boring and very predictible. I think I laughed once throughout the whole movie. The handyman/relator/etc. character got on your nerves within the first half an hour of the movie.

Guess Who? (2005?) on TBS ... I thought it was actually pretty good. Definitely better than expected. Not a big fan of Ashton Kutcher's goofy movies (though I found Dude, Where's My Car? to be way more amusing than it probably should have been), but he's very restrained in the movie. Also, not a big fan of Bernie Mac. But, the writing was smart, the scenes were interesting and made you sit through them, and the performances were strong despite the cliched and sappy results of the many character conflicts. B+
