But that STILL doesn't explain if he poisoned the WHOLE dragon, or JUST the liver.
Jeez, how would I know? It comes prepared. It's part of the school equipment.

There's no earthly way of knowing which direction this thread is going...
Unless the fiery hells of tarnished colors are glowing...
With film editors grisly mowing...
Yes, the danger must be growing, for film changes keep on growing...
And Marky's opinions are not showing, any signs of this thread slowing.
AHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!

"Why having fun!?"
BTW Tim, what's up with epic Marvel-ish Phillip in your avatar?

Hooray for the epic avatar, Tim... or Willy Wonka, whichever.
This may be one of the most entertaining threads around here! I suppose we should thank Marky for indirectly causing such amusement.... nah!
I'm going to have to hire a proffesional poison checker around here, though.... Any volunteers? I pay in cookies.... that I'm fairly sure haven't been poisoned... *glares suspiciously at SpringHeelJack*

Ok, I think we all get it now, perhaps people should move on to other threads and discuss something in them and try to stay on the topics provided there instead, since nearly none seems to be able to do so in this one. And then all the people that actually wants to discuss the different versions of Beauty and the Beast may stick to this thread from now on.

Lighten up, Dude!
In case you haven't figured it out by now, Marky's just kind of a running joke. We're having fun discussing things that may or may not be poisoned. We were not having fun listening to Marky rant about the same thing for the thousandth time.
Besides, there are already tons of threads deriding the newer version of BatB. So, basically, this one was destined to be a mindless free-for-all. The Mods may close it down if they wish. But it
is rather entertaining, don't you think?

Speaking of complaining about older prints, look what those hacks at Disney did to the color here-

Even if the staff closing doors does give nice closure to the 'There's Something There' scene, I still like the moment of Belle and Beast by the fireplace and the staff standing in the foreground from the original more. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I wonder how all this is going to play out. Oh, I know, someone will inevitably go too far in this silliness, and the thread will be locked. I'd really prefer that not to happen. I'm all for good natured fun, as long as no lines are crossed. So, let's try to keep from crossing any lines in this thread.

I, uh, have that soda. Right here. I was just... holding it. Drink up! You need your nutrients and whatnot, and, uh, soda being notoriously vitamin-rich...
...just- just drink it.

Aaah, I see.
You can't handle to hear anything about a film that you don't like to hear.
Because you avoid any type of discussion about the content. You do now, and you always did.
A problem that you maybe need to work on?

This is slightly off topic, but in a few Disney books I have, the colors seem to be different.
In one book (published in 1997) the colors seem closer to the 2002 DVD colors. I actually think this book uses CAP files (or at least a high quality film print). In another (published in 2006) the colors seem to be from an old print of the 1991 colors. And in the CD booklet, the colors look different from both the 1991 and 2002 colors. So I'm not sure what Disney is doing.
BTW, the books I mentioned (in order) were Disney's Treasury of Children's Classics and Disney Dossiers. [/u]

^ That's more to do with printing tech. Of course if source images were publicity photos made for such a purpose than they can't be used to judge the colors.
We've all be through this before 100 times, but Marky still wants the attention. If he had anything new to add to his "arguments" (which he doesn't) he'd open one of his dozen other older threads instead of creating a new one to waste bandwidth, and get attention using catchy word like "Tarnished" in his title, because we all know his opinion is 100% fact because he said so.
His failure to participate in other sections of the forum, his insults to others and his constant posts about the same subjects using the exact same caps etc. have TROLL written all over them. If the rest of the board mocks Marky, it's because he deserves it.
But I am having fun with Willy Wonka's Poisoned Milk Duds.

Well, for the people that actually care about the film at least.....
See, there you go again, basically saying that only the people who agree with your opinion are in the right. And you expect the rest of us to just take that lying down?
So it's an ego issue? A normal reaction would be that people explain why they love the removed scene of Belle and the Beast so much, and why they actually agree this was necessary etc, etc.
So everybody's screaming that they don't care about the changes and that I shouldn't care either.
But then you do expect people to think "Oh my god, they must really care about the classic"?
No way.
