I have a gold Scuttle toy somewhere, but I don't know where it is. How long ago did they release those toys?

That's sooooooooooo weird!!!
I think we only had about 20 of the dalmatians but the bags were see-through and you could ask the staff to give you the ones you wanted.
That was for the live-action one.
The "normal" movie: That one consisted of some of the dalmatians, Cruella DeVil and.., I don't remember.
Not to change the topic to 101 Dalmatians happy meals, but I have to give them credit for one thing. The toys came out at Christmastime, and it really made for some fun/magical Christmas shopping when you would stop into McDonald's from the cold and get a surprise toy in your happy meal. I mean, it was actually lots of fun in retrospect. It's just so hard to get 'em all... grrr...
They also did 100 years of Disney, which was 100 Disney characters in the surprise packaging. I don't think that was at Christmas though... but I could be wrong. This was like the ultimate Happy Meal collecting fantasy, only 2 problems: They really nice figures were fixed onto really cheap plastic bases, and it would have been nice if they chose some more obscure characters now and then. But I guess only Disney fanatics get excited (or even recognize) the obscure characters. Anyways, I'm not sure how many of those I still need either, but I've got a list of what I have somewhere, so whenever I get an extra one (from a friend or at a flea market or something) I cut the base off the extra one so I have a really nice display figure, ha.
Anywho, as for the regular 101 Dalmatians, the animated one, there were 4 toys here: Cruella, a pup, Colonel with Tibbs on his back, and a REALLY NICE Pongo figure! There were only for, but it was a great set, except for one pet peeve. Their sizes didn't work together. They have that problem a lot with their action figures. They'll make a puppy the same size as an adult dog, or, as previously mentioned, Chip nearly as big as Belle... stuff like that.

I used to have the Flounder toy which it was came from the McDonald's Happy Meal when I was a youngster. Now I lost it. I remember when McDonald's used to have that commercial promoting the original release of "The Little Mermaid" where they give away plush ornaments like Flounder & Sabastian. These are available on both Ebay and Craigslist. There was also include McDonald's gift certificates. Here is the very rare commercial from 1989. That brings back lots of memories. Thanks to Matt at X-E for that awesome find.

Yeah, I have those plush Flounder and Sebastian ornaments. They're cool as collectibles, though I'm not big on hanging plush ornaments on my tree.

And thank you,
musicradio77 for bringing that to my attention! That was some really nice, flowing animation for Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder. Sometimes animation in commercials is especially lucid and smooth, and I absolutely adore it. Awesome find indeed!

Yea, I'd have to take my cousin to McDonald's. I'm not ordering a happy meal for myself at 20 years old. Besides I could easily eat 3 or 4 happy meals in one sitting.

Geez, ya know, if we'd stop giving in to age stereotypes we'd have more freedom. I buy happy meals whenever I want, and I'm 31. I see plenty of adults eating 'em. Anyway, if you use the drive through, they just think you're buying them for your kid. That way, it doesn't matter if you ask for the toy for the opposite gender of yourself.
As for not getting filled up by one, so buy more than one. You can always take the spare toys later and trade them for different ones (if they're from the same set). I do it all the time. If you feel it necessary, just say you're doing it for your kid, or brother/sister...
Anyways, if they come out with some kickbutt toys, I'm not going to miss out on 'em because I'm afraid of being embarrassed.
And, yeah, that was an awesome commercial. I get rather annoyed when commercials with original animation like that aren't included with the related, 2-disc DVDs. Of course, I'm thrilled when they are (which is rare). Heck, there's no special footage in those old Star Wars action figure commercials, but I sure wish they were on the DVDs!!! Lotta memories in those. And I was really sad that the Roger Rabbit 2-disc DVD didn't have the diet coke commercial with Roger and Eddie (not to mention, it was still edited in that first scene with Baby Herman, and it would have rocked if it had the Mickey Birthday Special with Roger in it, but I digress...).

I buy a Happy Meal whenever I want to.

I don't care what people think about me buying one. And sometimes the amount of food in the Happy Meal is just right. I love the toys!!!! Some are weird and ugly, though, but the Disney ones were always very nice.
That commercial is really great and the animation is very nice!!! Thank you!!

OMG I had all four of those toys! I guess I was a pretty good collector for a 6 year old.

Um...I was kidding to a point. If you want to a Happy Meal, go ahead and buy a Happy Meal! I was just saying that
I wouldn't get filled up by a Happy Meal...I wasn't referring to everyone.

It depends on how hungry I am. But if I'm like starving, I'm not filled up with only a Happy Meal either.
And I'm a girl

Well I would say most of us will be disappointed. They recently updated the Happymeal.com website, and if you go to...
http://www.happymeal.com/mermaid-bionicle/
You can see what the Little Mermaid toys are gonna look like, there arn't any figures just jewery: Necklace, Bracelet, Crown, Mirror Compact, Tresure Keeper, Glasses, Barrette, & A Purse.
The website says its gonna be updated on the 22nd. But I don't know if that means the toys will be at McDonalds that day.

Wow, exactly what I was afraid of. I should have expected it though, since it was taking the position of a "girls' toy." What a disappointment. I HATE it when Happy Meal or Kids' Meal toys have a great subject and make "toys" like that. BK also botched the Avatar toys. I haven't gotten a chance to get into that show, but I have heard such great stuff about it that I was curious about the toys, and they were a bunch of gimmicky things instead of straight up figures.

That stinks. But like they say, you can't make everyone happy.

Aaaaww, that sucks. I don't like this "useless" stuff. I always liked the figurines and stuff.
