I saw "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer". It had a trailer for Disney's Underdog with it.

"A Man and a Woman"--a rather artsy 1966 French film I enjoy.

I watched "Ice Princess" last night on Disney Channel. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I loved it. I could relate to it sooo much (except I don't ice skate).

Blue Hawaii (1961) - Not a particularly great movie. The story is as basic as it gets and most of the acting is about what you'd expect. Some of the songs are catchy, while others fall flat. I do wish that the movie wasn't so clearly a vehicle for Elvis and his singing. It just seems criminal to make a movie musical starring Angela Lansbury and not allow her to sing a single song. Still, this is the movie that gave us Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love", one of history's greatest songs.

Bringing Up Baby (1938) - A very funny screwball comedy. Very clever writing and funny acting on the part of both leads as well as the supporting cast.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) - Twice: once with just the movie, once with Pooh's Pop-Up Fun Facts. Review coming soon.

Disturbia (2007) - Or, as the marquee spelled it, Disturdia. I saw this at a dinner & a movie place and it was a lot of fun. Shia LaBeouf has definitely taken his career in the right direction and was terrific as the lead in this. I loved the movie -- total suspense from beginning to end. Even if it was a summer thriller, I felt it was better written, better directed, better acted, and given more depth than most.

Casablanca (1942) - Fantastic film, with dialogue emerging as its real triumph. I don't know about its #2 spot on AFI's Top 100 list, but it does deserve a spot somewhere on it.

The Maltese Falcon (1941) - A very engaging film noir, though it was a little less grim than most to be so highly regarded. That said, this was an earlier example and I understand that Bogart's performance was very influential on later noirs. From the plot twists to the acting to the daring visuals to the in-your-face ambiguity, it offers a lot to chew on. Did "Fat Man" remind anyone else of a Batman villain?

Ice Princess. I also relate to it, but it depressed me a bit. Let's simply say that I'm a Casey wishing my Tina was still -around.-

Ice Princess, lovely film (plot wise), not too much focused on the actors who are in the film. The plot was very interesting, especialy Casey's scenes, ice skating sequences were beautifuly filmed.

There were a couple of turns offs, a couple days ago I saw Go Figure, so when Ice Princess aired, I was surpised to see how much connection these 2 Ice films had.

Go Figure/Ice Princess:

Lead girl with a passion for ice skating yet optimistc in life

Both skaters have rough coaches who kinda leave 'em in a tight jam

They don't date their crush till THE END.

Have trouble facing their dilmena.

Just naming a few connecters, other than that, it's a good film that I hope to own without the commericals.

You know, I can't look at Gen (Hayden Panettiere's character) in the same way now that I've seen Cinderella III. Heh.

Just watched the Extended Version of Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. The added footage really doesn't add to the story, but answers some questions. Still just a really fun movie to watch for fans of the comic book.

I prefer Ice Princess over Go Figure, I don't like the lead character in Go Figure.

The last movie I watched also stared Eva Mendes, I think its her at least. Hitch was the last film for me and I like it, its cute and funny

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104040/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463953/

Both are essentially the same movie, and both are essentially Ice Princess.

Legally Blonde

I caught it on TV yesterday, and since I was the only one at my house, and it was pretty boring, I decided to watch it.

Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Another huge fest of meh. That much so that I don't even feel like elaborating on why. I will say this though: By the time FF4:3 is released (it will happen, sadly) I will join the majority that has learnt its lesson regarding this franchise.

I've just finished my first week at the 54th Annual Sydney Film Festival. Rather than repeat everything I've said elsewhere, here is a link to the report I did for Bits:

In summary, the films I have seen included:
