Well, I'm glad it's no longer a conversation, since I knew it wasn't going to be delayed. One, because the film would always do better in a Fall release, but also because it's intrinsically tied to the yearlong 100th anniversary.

I guess we'll wait and see then. It would be cool if the new trailer did get released 100 days before the movie comes out.

Hey, if Disney’s live-action Little Mermaid can get 30 seconds of new footage dropped #Disney100 days before release, so can Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish get a second trailer/special look dropped to also drop #Disney100 days before release, too.

Another Wish update from Cryptic 4K Qual:
https://x.com/cryptic4kqual/status/1690 ... 69056?s=46.
Apparently nearly a minute was shaved from the runtime of the movie.
And Big Screen Leaks’ reporting has been corroborated that 18 minutes of the movie will be shown at an upcoming event.

An hour and a half or the near equivalent of it is per the norm for a WDAS film. I hope
Wish uses its time and pacing well and nothing in its story and characters are rushed.

Let's hope we get the trailer in 35 minutes, but I doubt it since no insider has teased anything
Also The Teens seem like pointless characters that will take screentime from Asha, they don't even have good character designs like the Madrigal family

Maybe it could still drop at noon, since the 100-day countdown special look at The Little Mermaid dropped around noon when it dropped that day.

It's 30 minutes past noon and so far, nothing. But I'm patient, and I can wait a little longer until we hear something about the theatrical trailer soon.

It's supposedly this week, per Big Screen Leaks, but they never said it would be today.

Looks like the 2nd trailer might be coming this week if this tweet is any indication that the press are about to soon see the 18 minutes of Wish that will be shown and the new Once Upon A Studio short, too:

Courtesy of Sanjay Creates, we’ve got another new poster for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ #Wish, Disney’s big 100th Anniversary finale event film, only in theaters November 22nd. I must say, given this film pays honor to Disney and its past, I expect the film to open like this with the book opening like we saw with Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Enchanted.
Also look at the “A” in the “A story a century in the making” tagline.

Sanjay Creates always makes really cool fan-work/official stuff. I agree that opening with a storybook prologue would be awesome for Wish, for I seem to recall that Tangled was originally going to have a storybook opening but was cut from the final movie.

I guess Disney doesn't care about this movie as much as they did The Little Mermaid. Neither do they care about Snow White, which hasn't even had a teaser.

I mean this movie has press seeing a portion of the movie’s footage with 18 minutes of the movie being shown this week and next week is World Princess Week.
So, there is still time for them to change that perception.
Soon, they will, maybe.
We’ll see.
I’d prefer not to give up on this movie and fight for it to be a hit.
Giving up on it and doubting it is not what we should be doing right now.

Disney never showcases their original animated features far in advance these days. I don’t think we got much out of Encanto or Strange World at this point either.
My guess is they learned from the past where things were undercooked or far from properly developed and everyone was already commenting on it online or in the press. Gigantic, The Frog Prince, the Rapunzel/Tangled title drama.
And I doubt WDAS was happy with suits announcing the Tiana and Moana series when not a single thought had been storyboarded. Hence why they’re keeping those productions close to their chest now.
I expect Wish will get a big marketing push come fall.
