Saw Ocean's Thirteen for the second time last night. I am so glad to say I love this movie. It will take a few more viewings to determine, but this one may be the best of the trilogy.

I had such a great night last night curled up on the couch watching movies. For the first time ever, I sat down and watched the entire "Scream" trilogy in one setting last night. Yes that's right, 6 hours of horror movie fun in one straight setting. It has been so long since I have seen any of these films, so it was a real treat to sit down and watch all three at once. I love these movies because they are scary and funny at the same time - they are really great movies as long as you don't take them too seriously. Not to mention, I absolutely love the character of Gail Weathers. And where the hell has Neve Campbell been???

So do I. Courtney Cox proved she was a real actress with her role in the first film. And she continued being very good in the 2nd film. In fact, I'd go so far as to say she was the best performer in part 2.

I remember when Scream 2 first came out in the theaters, I loved her performance, as well as her red streaked hair!!

Before I saw part 3, I was told a lot of people didn't like her in it - because of her hair. I thought that was a bit strange because though I hadn't seen the movie, I never thought a person's hair could make much of a difference. Then I saw part 3 and now I can't take my eyes off it. It does make a difference. She looks horrible.

But yeah, her character was great. She is very good at emoting. Which proves even though her character on Friends was not very good... that she was talented enough to handle a serious character like Gale. Silly name. But she was amazing. And it was kind of a small part. Not just in the movie, but as far as anyone attached to that movie knew - it was just going to be a really smart low-budget movie. Neve Campbell didn't even know it was going to be big. She said at one point she was thinking she might have turned it down. She said she felt she really had to think about it.

I hate to admit it, like George Jefferson hates to admit he loves watermelon, but I loved Courtney Cox's hair too in that movie. It helped her be a better bitch. The thing that hurt her was her overly freckled skin. I almost thought it was something like a sunburn when I first saw it.

Saw The Last Mimzy yesterday at the dollar theater - Weird but overall cool little family film minus some brief cheesy dialogue. I'd give it a B-.

Then, after that I took a friend to Ocean's Thirteen for my third time. It is not only best in the trilogy, but the best of the summer so far (best of the year is Zodiac). A definite, solid A.

Watched an entire movie on TBS - haven't done that in ages. It was this movie I'd never heard of before, Smooth Talk (198?). All I can say is... wow. Don't know if any of you have seen it before but... it's very surprising. I missed a couple of parts because of my roomate's pet bunny was making noise in her cage. Had to go kill her and cook her (just kidding). It really was amazing- I'm going to look into buying the DVD immediately! I didn't even know Treat Williams was so brutally seductive (I thought he was supposed to be kind of cheesy or something). He embodies male perfection in this movie (except for the pervert-sunglasses).

just saw Happily N'ever After and Blood and Chocolate

With our brand new NetFlix subscription now in effect, tonight we watched our first DVD - The Rock. Pretty awesome Bruckheimer film, with a little bit too much cheesy dialogue overall. There's really only one word to describe it....

Nope, it's not locked, just checked. I started watching The Emperor's New Groove but have yet to finish it.

The last film for me was Saved! and Homeward Bound (the first one) but they were both on at the same time so I had to switch during commercials.
