Thank. You. I love Tangled but this is something that's always bothered me.

What I'm most curious about in Frozen is the snow! We know that a large part of Brave was supposed to feature snow, and they created new technology for it, only for it to be cut and reworked. I understand the studios are separate but I'm wondering if that technology found its way into Frozen. If so, that's exciting. The water in Brave was AMAZING so I bet the snow was as well.

Sotiris wrote:No, the film will not be set in any real geographical place. Norway simply served as inspiration. Personally, I find the use of yet another generic European setting annoying. Since the setting was inspired by Norway, it should have been explicitly set there. You can still have a fictional kingdom in a real country.
Oh yeah, I remember that now.
I think you must have followed him because he talked about Frozen on his Twitter a few months ago.
Spot on ;)
Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with Tangled. While the human characters looked better than the average CG film, the overall visual look was very conventional. It was certainly nowhere near as unique or risky as Glen Keane's original vision.
I was talking about the animation, not the overall look of the film. The animation was extremely fluid, probably the most fluid CG film to date. The lighting also was an interesting touch, I like the atmosphere it provided. But yeah, the animation was the distinguishing point of Tangled IMO.

Yeah, not impressed in the slighted. There were tears in Brave as well.. although now that I think of it, they didn't specify their kind rotfl

I think it's safe to say that the two studios share technology. They even share the same people. :P A lot of times artists are transferred from one studio to the other.

I think what made such an impression regarding the animation in Tangled was that for the first time they were able to successfully animate human characters with traditional Disney designs, which look more naturalistic. Up to that point human characters in most CG films were either very stylized (like the Pixar ones) or photorealistic (like the DreamWorks ones).

I just found out since Elsa will be crown as new Disney Princess with her sister Anna, I found out that Hans will be her love interest and maybe he'll be the next Disney Prince with Kristoff. So I guess Hans might not be the villain. So if Elsa and Hans are not the real villain, who's the real villain? :-?

TsWade2 Source please? Those are all just rumors. For all we know, Hans could still be the villain.

If Hans is not the villain, maybe the antagonist could be the thing that "cursed Elsa" and turned her...I don't know. Wicked? Frozen hearted? Or whatever made the land frozen. Rereading the synopsis, I'm more intrigued and confused at the same time. There seems to be a lot of cursing in this film. :P

Well, I found out on Disney Wiki. But I don't know for sure. Guess we'll have to wait. :-"

When it comes to news like that, don't trust any wiki site.

Who here thinks that the teaser trailer for "The Good Dinosaur" will be out before "Frozen's"? I'm starting to think this could happen :(

CONCEPT ART FOR FROZEN:

Looks like Elsa/Anna's home!
Concerning that old artwork with the "Royal Room/Ball Room Type/ Anna-Elsa's Home" thing... Still thinks it could be appropriate : i see it as the Coronation Place at the beginning of the movie. And in the strange round shaped window that opens at the top of the picture, i can see something entering with a rope... add to that the shocked reaction of the elegant woman in the crowd : could it be Anna entering by mistake and messing the coronation, like the synopsis said ??

Disney Wiki DIT IT AGAIN ! (Goin' crazy...)
Saying that Tom Kane is voicing Sven now...
So Sven would not be a voiceless-Maximus-kind of character...

It says on the regular Wiki on his page and the movie wiki page too. But, no reliable source.

But, remember how Josh Gad was announced as Olaf? No reliable source, but then it turns out that it was true a month or 2 later. So, it could be like this.
