Have you ever thought of applying for a job at Disney Publishing or Disney Consumer Products? As a freelance illustrator, you could work from Spain without having to relocate.

Agreed - I think your stuff would fit well with a lot of the storybooks that Disney Publishing is currently putting out.

Regarding the logos - I hope we see an English "The Ice Queen" logo for some country, the same way you can find "Rapunzel" in English.

Well, ideally yes. But don't all the translations so far translate to "The Ice Queen"? I've heard rumblings and rumors from the Parks that Disney is going with 'Ice Queen' as the character's title to avoid confusion with the Queen from Snow White, whom many people call "Snow Queen". (Yes, I know that isn't even remotely her correct title, but alas, people do call her that.)

I don't think so. The French "La Reine des Neiges" translates to "The Snow Queen" and so does the Italian "La Regina delle Nevi". There could be more.

How idiotic. Can't they just call her "Elsa, the Snow Queen" then?

The German title "Die Eiskönigin" apparently translates to "The Ice Queen", according to RodryCroft. I guess that's the one I was thinking of. Stupid if they have some translations as Snow and some as Ice.

And I guess it'll be 'Elsa, the Ice Queen'. Again though, these are just rumors I've heard. Certainly nothing I'd put money on yet. I guess I don't mind either way though. I know Snow Queen is the preferred, traditional name... but I think Ice Queen is also very fitting, and I think it sounds just as good. I'd certainly prefer Ice Queen as a title over Frozen.

I'd even prefer the title "The Kingdom of Ice" or "The Frozen Kingdom" that some countries are getting.

Well, Rapunzel is named after the corn salad, but it's her name in many countries, including the German fairy tale. The Snow/ Ice Queen is not really a personal name, so I wouldn't count on it that there'll be an english logo. Unless of course other english speaking countries, like the UK or Australia, decide to use this title instead of 'Frozen'.

I'm just not loving the mullet on Elsa. I guess after Rapunzel, they just said "F*** it with the hair animation, put em both in braids".

I'm sure I'll get used to it, especially if the movie turns out well, but in the meantime...meh. (Not to Rodry's artwork, but the character designs themselves)

Hi guys!! Thank you all for your comments about my Frozen fan arts =)
@Sotiris, my goal is work at WDAS, I studied animation, and I love all the process, concept art, character design, animation... everything, I'd love to have a work like @princekido and work for Disney publishing, but I'm not ready yet =) I have to work on my porfolio and then I will apply for every-Disney-thing hahahaha

Last month I attended a special screening at the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood of 'Wreck-It Ralph' followed by a Q&A with it's screenwriters Jennifer Lee and Phil Johnston.

Afterwards I had the chance to chat with Jennifer, first congratulating her on the official studio announcement of her joining Chris Buck as Co-Directors of 'Frozen'. She was still giddy but also visibily tired as well, noting that the position was a really a seven-day a week job between footage screenings, story meetings and more.

I asked her about some of the key people on the film and she couldn't have been more enthusiastic and generous with compliments for her Head of Story Paul Briggs and Visual Development Artist Brittney Lee among many. As in the Q&A she stressed that 'Frozen' will look unlike any other Disney animated feature, as they are utilizing new techniques developed by the studio. The luminous current short, 'Paperman' is an example of the blending of traditional hand-drawn animation with CG 3-D animation. FYI - the Supervising Animator received a Disney Inventors Award for "System for Tracking 3D Motion to Manipulate 2D Data with Temporal Coherence."
