Maybe! Maybe the book answers that question!

You know, I was thinking - maybe Marina isn't Ursula but Morgana? Maybe that would explain how Ariel and Triton know her in TLM 2.

Have you read this?

I haven't, I didn't have time to look through all the previous posts :(.

That's really interesting... Knowing there's a possibility of resolving plot-holes from previous films makes me excited for TLM 3 :)

Anyway, thanks for showing me!

Maybe that third background symbolizes TLM villains - Ursula is represented by Flotsam and Jetsam (first movie) and Marina represents both the villain from the 2nd and the villain from the 3rd film :?.

I don't know... But we'll find soon enough - in just a month :)

OMG, that's awesome! :o

I really hope the US gets something like that. It's so irritating that companies don't release the same thing everywhere. Distributing things differently based on location is completely unfair and aggravating. Bah.

Great pictures, but its a shame that Jodi isnt featured in them. I know they are scoring sessions, but I was hoping she may be in some way involved.

We will all know soon enought about the whole plot, and the plot holes the story may have, but I am content to wait until the movie comes out. I mean, this is the very last Little Mermaid movie ever. EVER ! I want to relish the whole process of discovery, and not rush any information. I did that with A Twist in Time, and regretted it. I want to appreciate the wait, as we wont have one again :)

Knowing that Marina may be Morgana both excites and upsets me.

1) Morgana seemed like a complete joke compared to Ursula- she was bad at magic, she had to "flee the country", so to speak, and she had someone else do her dirty work for her. Therefore if she was in fact Marina, then it would be really exciting for her to get some respect. It could also explain the change in her voice. Afterall, considering TLM3 is about a year before the first film, plus the 12 years it took for Melody to grow up, that would be at least 13 years- well enough time for someone to age, vs. Ursula's one-year voice change.

2) Like I said, Ursula was the best- one of the greatest Disney villains ever, IMO. To me, it would feel like she was just "the opening act" for her sister if Marina is Morgana.

One last thing- if Marina is Morgana how do we explain the change from purple to green? I would think she would use the same color (it makes the most sense and is easier to follow in a children's film). And what about her magic? Marina seems to be, IMO- a very talented witch; being able to change her clothes like that, etc. Morgana on the other hand... well, isn't. And lastly, what about the eels? Morgana has stingrays, Ursula has eels.

Maybe Marina is an homage to the sisters?

Also, I noticed something "fishy" (pun intended) about the sharks in TLM3, who seem to serve Triton:

- In TLM, it's quite obvious that sharks (or at least that one shark) is a "bad guy"

- In TLM2, a shark is a main character- Undertow, who works for Morgana

- In at least two episodes of the TLM series, sharks are featured- and they're always bad- trying to eat Ariel and plotting against the king

So why is it that in the prequel, sharks are used as the popo (cops, police, etc), and work for the king when it's quite apparent that in future events, they are shown as the enemy?

Well ofcourse, not all sharks are evil. The majority may be more vicious than others but other than that, there are still enough out there who are good. But in all situations, I wouldve just preferred if they kept sharks a wild animal as first portrayed in the first film.

Fair enough- but how do you explain the warrior-like mermen in TLM2 replacing the sharks from TLM3?

^ In the first movie the Sharks name is Glut I believe :)

Also, the reason LM and LM2 has Mermen guards while LM3 has Sharks can be explained in two ways.

1) It's just a continuity error

2) The Mermen are the Royal Guard, while Sharks are just normal police etc.
