They've added a third kid to the Mathews household.
August Maturo will play Louis
I don't think I like I the idea of them having yet another kid so soon.
Also, new photo.

Unless in true Boy Meets World fashion, he will will disappear after the first couple of episodes and the characters won't ever mention him again.

I just hope this show will be a normal and sensible tween show that has nothing to do with singing or dancing.

Michael Jacobs has already said numerous times it wont be that kind of show.

Teo will no longer be playing Eliot, its been decided Riley should not have an older brother.

I'm relieved personally, it was getting too crowded if you ask me. Now the timeline will be easier to swallow.

Yeah, and plus: How can Riley have a older brother when she's 13 when the show ended in 2000? He would have been 14 or 15. Or a year older like me and my sister. Serious plot hole. Glad that they realized this

They do it all the time in soap operas (
Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome), so it never bothered me. I would have preferred if they kept the three-children dynamic, since the series is intended to mirror the premise of "Boy Meets World" anyway (family life from the point of view of a middle child). Removing the older brother changes that dynamic.

On the one hand, that does make sense but at the same time, it shouldn't feel, too much like Boy Meets World. It needs to be able to work as it's own series for kids that mag have never see the original program.

This is sort of off topic yet it's not. One of my long time friends found this pretty cool fan made poster of the original Boy Meets World series. It's pretty darn awesome if you ask me

They're going to have Josh be the cool uncle.

I wonder if they'll recast him or will Daniel Jacobs reprise the role? It doesn't seem to have done any acting since. I'm not even sure what he looks like these days. Google is failing me.

He's the son of creator Michael Jacobs. He didn't pursue a professional acting career (at least not one in television or film), as evident by his only imdb credits as the bit parts he (and his siblings) played on "Boy Meets World." Whether or not he reprises the role in "Girl Meets World" will likely be up to Disney Channel's casting directors rather than Michael or Daniel Jacobs.

Michael is the show runner is he not? I kinda assumed he had final say on the casting.

He would have final say, but the casting directors would still be the ones to look through headshots and create a short list of contenders (whether Daniel Jacobs is included or not, I don't know), which they'd bring to Jacobs. He can't just tell them, "My son played the part when he was four [I'm guessing], he can play it again," and have the entire process be bypassed. Nepotism can only go so far, even in Hollywood.

While I'm sure they wouldn't just cast him on the spot and would want to audition him, I don't see how Michael wouldn't have a lot of pull if Daniel wants to do it.
