Most of these steelbooks seem to sell out incredibly quickly. The online pre-orders typically only last for a few minutes, at best. WALL-E went up for sale at 6pm EST today with a set quantity of around 150-60, and it sold out within 5 minutes. Fortunately, I was able to get my order in before that happened.

I managed to go into a Future Shop today at opening and got the Up steelbook. The ones the stores have now aren't the empty cases they were giving out with pre-orders, though; now that the movie is released, you can get the Steelbooks sealed with the discs already inside. Monster's Inc was sold out already, unfortunately, but I managed to get a sealed one off eBay for only $5 or so more than I would've paid at retail.

Once I get the Monster's Inc. in the mail, I'll have all the Future Shop Disney steelbooks currently available. I'll be sure to pick up A Bug's Life and Cars during their weeks, but I don't think I'll bother with the Pirates ones.

All in all, these are really magificent sets. Sleeping Beauty isn't necessarily my favourite Disney flick, but the Steelbook design is truly incredible.

It's just an exclusive, collectable case (normally with a special cover design) completely made of steel. You're able to put the discs of, say, the Snow White Blu-Ray in the steelbook case if you wanted to. It's just a collector's thing. Link to the site for more info:

Too bad Best Buy isn't getting Sleeping Beauty. That's the only one I want since the cover is so nice.

I just got back with a few. When I arrived, I couldn't find any steelbooks. Best Buy was jammed with people. It was kind of crazy. Finally, I found a worker and he lead me to another part of the store by the tvs. The steelbooks were hidden on a display pointing toward the tv department. Just a heads up for anyone that goes today.

Has anyone opened any to see what is on the inside? I see the Sleeping Beauty and the Pinocchio pictures, but are the regular inserts also included just as they are in the normal Blu-ray and DVD packages?

Some have inserts, others don't. Some of them are double, or triple discers. Other single discers!!! The inside art is great!!!

Just got back from Bestbuy. My copy of Wall E, A Bug's Life, and Ratatouille didn't have a Disney movie reward card inside. Anyone have the same problem?
