It was torture handling the DVDs last night. I'm so jealous that some of you have it already. I had to stick price tags on 500 copies last night, but didn't get to take one home...

*sigh* just ten more days...
That is torture, Im glad I'm not you I'd have to have it right then and there, especially if it were the upcoming The Sword In The Stone 45th Anniversary Edition.

I'm doing interviews for UD, so I got the DVD early... If it makes you feel any better, I haven't had time to watch it yet...I mean, tomorrow or Tuesday I will... Don't hate me!

I'm going to post the pictures, but if Luke or BVHErep or anyone doesn't want them up yet, please take them down or tell me to- I love doing the interviews and don't want to get in trouble and not be able to do them anymore...I'm such a worrywart.

Anyhoo, here they are (sorry there are glares- I did the best I could with my camera):

I was watching morning cartoons with my little brother yesterday and a commercial for the new dalmatians dvd came on. A voice says "sound the alarms" the camera then zooms in on the horses rear end and it farts making the camera shake. It was not only false advertising, because it doesnt happen in the film but what would Disney think of them using his film to a level of Shrek. I tried to find it on youtube but couldnt, look out for it.

Amy, could you confirm with me, is Cruella featured on the spine, or is it Pongo? And how is the disc art, does it look good?

Okay, so in this DVD, does it have the 2006 WDP logo, 1985 choppy WDP logo or the 1990 enhanced WDP logo.

I was just at my local grocery store and guess what I saw next to the check-out lanes...the 101 Dalmatians display full of the DVDs they were already selling. :o I couldn't believe it! (Can the store get in trouble for selling them early??). Tempted though I was to buy one, I didn't. They were selling them for $19.99 and I'm guessing Wal-mart will have it for less. But mostly it just didn't seem right to buy it early. Guess I'm weird that way.

Wow, that's crazy! And yes, your local store can get into trouble for selling the DVDs early, BIG TROUBLE! I can't believe you didn't buy it, I sure would have - I am so excited for this film I can hardly stand it.

Oh! BTW, how's the picture for 101 Dalmatians? The restoration I mean. And the aspect ratio, because when Aladdin and The King of Thieves was released, it was announced as 1.33:1, when it was actually 1.85:1 Widescreen. Just want to know if the same thing happened with 101 or not.

I was wondering that myself as well. I've seen clips of 101 in Widescreen and they looked really good, nothing was really missing.

Pongo is on the spine. The disc art looks great- it's not the shiny discs like "The Little Mermaid" has.

I need to head to the store, but I can post pictures later!

See, that's the illusion behind Widescreen cropping. The picture often fits so well, you feel like nothing was cut off. But overall, Yes! The picture of 101 matted looks really good. To see what it looks like, I uploaded a video a long time ago that shows how 101 Dalmatians looks like matted to a 1.85:1 Aspect Ratio, with some music remastering as well. Take a look:

101 Dalmatians - Remastered in Widescreen and in Music

101 looked amazing in widescreen, I hope this what the PE will look like.

Question though, When Curella is driving runs of the bridge, she drives down into a ditch is that real snow they added or something like it? cause it was mushy looking
