Your opinions are just fine. Don't get me wrong, but to say that someone else's are not the popular ones, is totally wrong.

I meant to say that the ones that I listed are the ones that are most popular in my family. I am not a kid, though, I am a teenager, and sometimes I just don't have the money to upgrade to DVD, seeing as I have to save up my own money to buy things like DVDs, CDs, etc. anything but clothes/food, but SOMETIMES, my parents will get me a DVD or CD that I want without me spending my own money. I'm not spoiled, and I DO plan to upgrade on my VHS of The Santa Clause (in widescreen), because it's from 1995, and seeing as I only watch it a few times in December every year, and upgrade is not a necessity for me. As for my SC2 VHS, I purchased it last year (new) and on sale for $4.99, a week before Christmas. Otherwise, I would've paid $21.99 for the DVD, which I didn't wanna do, because the DVD is nothing special, and not worth $22. I am not criticizing your movie/TV show traditions, as they are fine, and there are some great shows/movies in there. I was not by any means calling any of your traditions 'unpopular' at all, as far as I know, they could be the most popular traditions of households across America, but I simply meant that the ones that I posted previously are the ones that are most popular in my family. I'm sorry if it came out as something different, but I meant what I said about my list posted here at UD are the most popular ones in my family, and that there are others I watch with my family/friends.

I watch the two Xmas-themed Frasier episodes, Miracle on Third or Fourth Street and Frasier Grinch repeatedly throughout December.

A third Xmas episode, Perspectives on Christmas, turns up on the season five DVD set. I don't yet have it (release for this particular season has been somewhat slow in R2) but it's at the very top of my Xmas list, so I anticipate watching it on the day itself.

I also watch the Father Ted Xmas special, A Christmassy Ted, whenever I can swipe the DVD from my brother.

It may seem a little early but thanksgiving is just around the corner and ABC Family's 25 days of christmas is starting early this year (the wednesday before thanksgiving) which means a bunch are about to start coming on TV! Yay! Whats everyones favorite?

For what they are, I find them good. Humor and shock value rule the day, but the childhood innocence of the season remains- and is required to delve a little deeper.

My favorite Christmas film is "A Christmas Story," but I love "It's a Wonderful Life" and feel it might be the best movie ever made, in my opinion (however, my favorite film in general remains "Who Framed Roger Rabbit").

Behind those two, the original Miracle on 34th Street, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from Rankin/Bass, and Frosty and Frosty's Winter Wonderland. And, of course, Christmas Vacation. Oh, and Home Alone 1 and 2.

I also love the much bashed (just check out the UD review) "Jingle All the Way." Yeah, it's extremely hokey, but it is very enjoyable to me. I always enjoy Sinbad, and I love the story as someone who collects toys and who has been in on the holiday shopping experience. It was a nice Christmas story that, as far as I know, hadn't been done before (if not over done). Everyone rolls their eyes when they see a family film about a father who is neglecting his family, but a lot of those films are good if you can get around that overly used plot point.

Also love many versions of "A Christmas Carol." I just love that story. Some faves are Mickey's Christmas Carol, Muppet Christmas Carol, and a few black and white versions.

I love Muppet Family Christmas, and I so wish they'd release an unedited DVD of that one. Also wish "The Christmas Toy" would come to DVD, and "Raggedy Ann and Andy in the Great Santa Claus Caper."

I enjoy the Santa Clause movies. The second is my fave. Love "Santa Claus the Movie" far more though, and this Mexican film called "Santa Claus" (which you can find dubbed in English) from the '50's where a devil is always trying to thwart Santa. It's bizarre.

Of course, "One Magic Christmas" is a Disney classic! Oh, and another Rankin/Bass pair I love are "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Twas the Night Before Christmas." And one Henson film I just remembered that I also wish would come to DVD is "Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree."

There's also a classic Dolly Parton TV movie called "Smoky Mountain Christmas," that is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. It's sort of a Christmas, modern, Hillbilly take on Snow White. My mother wishes the other Dolly Parton Christmas specials would come to DVD, but the only one I'd buy is the one she doesn't like; the one I just described.

Oh, last year we watched "The Nativity Story" on Christmas Eve in theaters. I highly recommend this to anyone for whom it holds any meaning. You'll fall in love with it.

I also love various Christmas shorts, including several Disney ones (Oh, Small One is well worth mentioning, still not available on DVD unaltered) and a couple from Fleischer.

Oh, and "Ernest Saves Christmas" is great, but I haven't seen it in forever! Badly need to pick it up! I'm not a big fan of movies that replace Santa, but a few are too good to resist.

I also love Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas. Oh, and of course, the Grinch, both live-action and animated. Those are Must Watch movies for me. Oh, and of course, Charlie Brown, probably the best Christmas Special ever, or at least tied with Rudolph.

And "Elf!" Of course! I LOVE that film! And I adore Zooey Deschanel in it, and her singing! Gotta get that soundtrack!

I also agree with SpringHeelJack about the truly bizarre Star Wars Holiday Special. I watch it every year. I also rather like "The Nutcracker Prince." I mean, you have to watch at least one version of the Nutcracker every year. My younger sis has some interesting live-action versions on VHS. Not big on the Culkin one though.

One Christmas day, I saw a film called Bernard and the Genie on A&E, and I remember that being pretty cool too. Haven't seen it since then though, and that was YEARS ago.

Garfield Christmas is great too, of course, and there are too many other holiday specials out there to mention that I love to watch if I can catch them.

There's also some not that Christmassy stuff I enjoy watching around the holidays. Stuff like the Ewok movies, some of the Blue Collar comedians' shows, Coming to America, Weird Al concerts, Phantom of the Opera, and a few other things. You know, stuff you see once at Christmas and it sort of becomes a tradition.

Yeah, I'm sure I forgot a lot of stuff.

The Polar Exress is always being put down but do really enjoy it. Babes in Toyland is fun dispite it's obvious weak points, and the TV version of Olive the other Reindeer is something that I enjoy to.
