Oh My Joss, last night's episode was FANTASTIC!
And I'm so, so happy. My prediction about the Dharma Initiative was spot on! Ben's flashbacks were great. I was really not expecting the purge to be something that Ben was a part of.
Let me tell ya, as much as I would love for it to be so, Locke isn't dead. I'm betting everything that he'll be back at some point. When Lost writers kill someone off, it's usually an immediate death. Anyway, I'm glad to have given Lost a second chance. There's definitely been a step up in quality after a somewhat shakey beginning.

The reason I'm not a fan is because I watched one episode in the middle of a season, and didn't understand anything.

I know, I know, I know.

I've watched bits/pieces of it, looks rather gripping from a narrative point, amusing acting. Like Prue, I caught the middle season and hardly understood what the point of the series was. I'm more of a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fan.

I started watching as the second season was begining. I rented the first disc of season 1 and became hooked. I bought the season and then played catchup with season 2 by buying the episodes I missed online. I've seen every episode since.
I highly reccomend that if this show sounds appealing to you, that you rent the first disc. Even when you watch from the begining, you often have no idea what is going on, but it's cool because you are in the same position as the people on the island.

WOW!! I hope most of you Lost fans watched the special program on ABC Thursday night. I know Rowlf will say it was just another recap show, but it wasn't. The one was 45 minutes long, and came on after the extended hour of "Grey's Anatomy". It was called "Lost: The Anwers".
It was very insighful, and not just another recap show. They actually brought a lot of things to the forefront that some of us had forgotten from the first season, and the answers are now being forthcoming towards the end of Season Three.
How many of you know that the mysterious noises and sounds that the 'survivors' heard the first nights on the island are now attributed to the infamous Black Cloud (which has now been revealed to be Jacob)?
How many have gotten the relationship of Sawyer with Locke's father?
How about the relationship of Jack and Claire (half-brother and sister)?
This was of the most informative shows that "Lost" has presented without giving anything away, just clearing the air so that the two-hour Season Finale can be presented next week and leave us hanging until next January. There are just 48 episodes left for the series and ABC has contracted for 16 shows for the next three seasons. This should be interesting.

I saw that on my DVR list and I was wondering what it was. I will have to watch it sometime before I move to Disney World (in 3 days). So is it confirmed that the black cloud is Jacob? Or is that just your assumption? I wonder why Locke couldn't see him when other Losties have seen the thing floating around the jungle. I wonder how Ben is able to control it.
I really loved last nights episode. Especially the ending. I was expecting it to go as planned and for Charlie to die. When that woman came in... OMG! lol.

It was just another re-cap ep ...
If you follow the show closely you would realize everything that was "answered" are things you should have picked up on anyway ...
In the Claire ep ... we saw Jack's father there ... so we realized that they were related ...
Ever since we saw the smoke monster we knew it was the thing they heard day one ...
and I had previously deduced that Anthony Cooper was the real Sawyer ... and if you saw that episode where he dies ... you would have gotten it too LOL
It was entertaining to watch because Damon and Carlton were the hosts ... a nice way to present a clip show ...
But they didn't answer anything ...
Some people that don't pay attention were probably going "wow" at the losties crashing into one another in the flashbacks ... but if you pay attention you will notice them ...
Like this past week's ep ... the woman Charlie saved in a London alley was Nadia ... Sayid's long lost love ...
They pretty much repeat everything over and over with these re-cap eps ... but still nonetheless ... they are entertaining ...
I just can't believe that there's gonna be another LOST special before the finale ... that makes the amount of LOST re-cap eps this season ... 4 LOL

No ... smokie is not Jacob ... well at least they didnt say that ...
Every ep before the finale has been fantastic ...
I hope the finale lives up to the expectations .... I wonder who dies ... I wonder what happens ...
I've read a spoiler ... but I hope it's a foiler cuz it sucked ...

Rowlf, you didn't watch the show.............you say it is just another clip show, evidentally you didn't watch it because they gave us all the answers that I posted.
Maybe if you got your head out of you know where, and paid attention to the "new" shows you would realize what is going on.
Please quite misguiding the people here. There are some of us who are hooked on this show, and last night's 'NEW' show, if you have a TiVO or DVR it was automatically recorded because it was new, you would have learned THE ANSWERS that were provided.
What are you always so negative wihen it comes to a recap show? This one was totally different than any of the others. I didn't notice your negativity when they did a recap of "Heroes" or "Desperate Housewives".
Why not watch the show first before you start becoming a naysayer. The Black cloud IS Jacob........there is no other explanation than what they showed last night. Or did you suddenly become the script writer for "Lost"?

They did not prove that smokie was Jacob ... that was not an answer they gave ...
Go re-watch it ...
I like Damon and Carlton ... I listen to their podcasts ... and have seen them be interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel ...
And I do watch all the re-cap eps ...
They gave "answers" to things that if you were an active viewer ... would already know ...
Didn't you watch the ep where the Sawyer-Cooper-Locke connection was made? It was called "The Brig" ...
Did you not see where we learned Claire and Jack were related? The ep was called "Par Avion" ...
Did you not see the ep titled "D.O.C." which confirmed Jin was Sun's baby daddy?
You can rant all you want ... but they already answered everything that was on that re-cap show ... It was called "The Answers" because it re-capped it for new viewers ... or the casual viewer ... or the viewer that left the series after that horrid midseason hiatus ...
They put it on right after the Grey's finale to get better ratings ... I am an avid Grey's watcher ... so I did watch "The Answers" ...
You must not be an astute viewer ... hence the re-capped answers were shocking to you ...

Jeez, broken record, much?
All those questions were answered, and so long as there hasn't been a plot confirming that Smokey=Jacob, that is up to interpretation.
My point being; Recaps = Absoloutely useless to the long time fan

Thank you Disney-Fan ... I knew I wasn't the only one ...
LOST has had an excess of re-cap eps ...
DH and Grey's only had one this year ... and that was enough ...

I am so hyped for this finale. I've never seen producers so worked up over their own work. Hearing the creators speak about this episode has really got me pumped for this one.

I am sooo satisfied after this eppy, probably more so than any other season finale. I was reading comments on other boards such as ain't it cool news, and a few people are like 'oh no there are now more things they will need to explain' and for me personally, I'm like, bring it on! I would rather watch a show that challenges me and makes me wait for a huge payoff, than a show like 'Heroes' or '24' which I enjoy, but shows you how short-sighted the writers are when they make people wait eight long months for lame reveals and anticlimatic finales, (24's blew, and Heroes' was a huge letdown, really... a sword...hmph) I CAN seriously wait for fall for 'Heroes' and January for '24', but the wait for LOST will be unbearable, like pulling out hair by the root, poking eyes out, unbearable. This is seriously the best show on TV right now, and probably within the last 10 years. Sorry if I talked about other shows too much, I was just using them to compare, to show how awesome LOST was.

So Jack and Kate are fighting over going back to the island? Now that was an ending that I wasn't expecting. The writers have really showed their stuff with the past three or four episodes, and now we have to wait until February 2008 to see what happens.
Charlie gave himself to save the rest of them, and Locke tried to prevent Jack from making contact with the 'supposed' ship that was offshore waiting for them.
Jack's rescue turned him into a drug addict, and he tried to commit suicide over all that has happened and now wants to go back to the island. Kate is trying to tell him that there is nothing there for them, and she is getting on with her life. Whoa! What a cliffhanger!!!
Now I am for sure hooked on this great show. They had me a little baffled after their 13 week hiatus, but they brought it all up to speed, and fulfilled all the promises that were made. The next 48 episodes should be really great. I can't wait for February 2008!!!
