I'm told a lot of departments anticipate an abundance of overtime, but as one employee put it:
"We're going to try to do six-day weeks. But we'll probably have some seven-day work schedules. Steve Goldberg has made the pipeline pretty efficient, and that helps. We learned what we need to do during Wreck-It Ralph, so we'rein good shape".

So, I take it Big Hero Six has been greenlighted for production by now? As in, it's definitely coming?

I don't understand why Disney couldn't have hired on these animators earlier, this movie seems like its going to be the animators life for the next 8 months.

Agreed: Why wait for the last minute?

Did they learn from WIR that earlier the hirings, quicker the jobs are done, quicker the movie is done? (The work was so fast that it was released a year/5 months earlier, right?)

It's more complicated than that- as far as we know, the story hadn't been finalized to a point where they could start animating until fairly recently. As just two months ago or so, they were still working on making sure the third act worked correctly. So it's not about simply hiring animators sooner, it's about timing the entire production better, from development to release. Thankfully, it sounds like they will be on a better schedule for BH6, if production is going to overlap with Frozen. That gives them almost a full year for animation, rather than 7-9 months. That's assuming they're planning for BH6 to be released Nov 2014, following the trend.

I've found a new concept art image of
Elsa. You're the first ones to see this as it's not available elsewhere online. If you find it somewhere else, it means they've taken it from here.
Judging from the style, it looks like it was drawn by Brittney Lee but I can't be sure.

Well, there is a chance that others could have gotten this image from wherever you got it from.
Where did you get it from, anyway?

No, there isn't.

Not telling.

You must be Brittney Lee herself then.
And like clockwork, this image has turned up on Tumblr:

Source is cited, though.
And I've also seen the fake info on the Elsa's Ice Castle page on the Disney Wiki turn up on Tumblr. I hope it doesn't do the rounds. I tried deleting the article before but it's reemerged.

And I'm David Kawena. Didn't you know?
The design is fairly interesting on paper (including that picture of her in one of the Disney Princess misc. images a while ago).

And we would've gotten away with it, too, if not for you meddling kids.
Back to the picture, though--she almost looks like an animated Christina Aguilera to me.

It's hard to imagine Idina Menzel's voice with that design, at the moment.

I just want to clarify though that no one gave me the image. I found it by accident in an unexpected place.

So why so secretive? Usually you always post the source to the things you find. It's not like you're Prince Kido, who's job is require to keep his mouth shut.

Yeah, but I'd hate for people to get into trouble because of me. Disney is getting really paranoid about image leaks and I was told there had been an investigation when some images of Brave and Wreck-It Ralph had been leaked last year.

Every major animated film coming out this year has had atleast 1 trailer. Epic, MU, DMe2, Clouldy with meatballs 2 & Turbo. But 1 film has nothing, that would be Frozen. As for the leaks, this is what happens when you try to keep something secretive for WAY to long. Eventually, things are going to leak, especially
in this 24hr media age. I remember last May when Sotiris posted 2 images of WIR & he had to remove them a couple days later. I don't understand why all the other studios including Pixar can release trailer & images in a timely manner, but Disney has to keep their films under total secrecey & retort to investigations when an image or 2 leaks! And it's not like the overall mainsteam audiance is excited for Disney's films, both Tangled & WIR finished a distant 4th at the domestic Boxoffice compared to their rivals, including Pixar in their respective years! If Disney does not want to release anything now regarding Frozen, I'll respect that. It's their property & they can handle it however they see fit. But when you keep something under raps for to long, don't be upset when an image or 2 leaks online!
Also, thanks for the new image Sotiris. I'm not even gonna ask where you got this new image of Elsa! Just keep them coming if you can get anymore

The funny thing is that
