I just watched Toy Story today. It's one of my fave Disney/Pixar movies. I was so excited when I learned that it's going to be released on dvd. I still have a vhs copy. I can't wait to get my dvd copy. I also wish they'd release Toy Story 2.

3-disc???? The only movie I can think of that got more than 2 discs worth of special features is my favorite movie of all time-Gone With the Wind.

I really, really doubt Disney is going to go 3-disc or 4-disc any time soon. At least not until they finish the Platinum Edition line...or at least the first ten...

YES :!: :!: I can't believe that its true.

Trying to find info on Toy Story is how I found out about this site in the first place. I never realized that it would be so hard to get or so pricey when I started looking for it a few months ago.

My patience has finally paid off, I don't have to pay $40+ just to get this movie now. :D

Hey... Anythings possible. And Gone With the Wind was a WB not Disney, so maybe Disney will do something so daring, as to make it 3 discs. The price is listed as $30, maybe a 3-Disc is possible?

It's not my favourite Pixar movie but I still like it. I didn't have a DVD when it came out on DVD. I might buy it.

Most of the stuff on the Gone With the Wind discs were items that were previously made for television and just added to the set (not that there's anything wrong with that. I wish Disney DVDs had more of their archive television making of specials on them *cough*Lion King*cough*Beauty and the Beast*cough*) But I doubt there is a lot of archive material for the Toy Story films.

I'm surprised I haven't asked this up until now. How sure is this thing? I mean, it isn't official, but is it close to being an official report? Can this article be trusted?

Until we get official word from the Mouse House themselves, nothing is EVER sure.

What about that 5 disc Fanny & Alexander set that Criterion released. I still haven't checked out all the features on that set yet. Disney did do a 3 disc set for Princess Mononoke in Japan. I'm not expecting Toy Story to get a 3 disc set though.

The USA Today report stated 2 discs and a $30 price tag (translation: $29.99 SRP). Not sure how we got a 3-disc set or more out of that. The content from The Ultimate Toy Box can easily be translated over to 2 discs, even with a couple of hours of new bonus features. But how will they manage to improve the picture quality? It's pretty flawless digital-to-digital stuff on the first set. The first film isn't even afflicted by the minor sync problems like TS2 is.

UD-ers dreaming. ;) The more discs, the more features. ;)
I assume what's in UTB will be on that TS 2-disc?
Still, it'd be nice to own so I won't keep removing the slipcover of UTB just to watch the movies. :p

Well, it is in USA Today. And even though I dont believe Disney has officially announced it, I doubt this would just be made up.

Alice, why arent you "impressed"?
