Hey Daelex,
I'd say your cover artwork is a definite improvement over most of the official Disney ones. You certainly have a feel on how to put them together. My favorites are the Incredibles ones.
However, I don't care much for a lot of the clip art Disney offers. That's nothing against the fine choices you've made and how you've arranged everything, it's just more of my personal taste in artisitc styles. I was wondering if you've considered using some of the theatrical poster art for the covers? Now those are something I'd
really be interested in getting. I enjoy them so much more than the standard Disney clip art.
For example:
* The silhouette of Ariel that you've already used on the back of that one Little Mermaid cover.
* The poster art of Little Mermaid that is similar to the first VHS cover (Ariel has a more appealing expression on her face than on the VHS)
* The mysterious poster of Aladdin's hands on the lamp
* The poster of a tiny grown-up Simba looking up at the gigantic image of Mufasa in the clouds for Lion King
I hope you don't take my suggestions as nit-picky. I know you said to PM you for requests, but I'm not making any just yet. But that doesn't mean I won't be in the near future.

Unfortunately that stuff is hard to get and in good quality, especially for the older classics. Maybe in the future when I have completed the collection I will start hunting down different posters and slapping them in my templates and offering alternates

If you ever find any let me know. And I am very picky on the quality and size, they must be at the least 1000 X 1500 but 2000 X 3000'ish prefered. The dimensions of a standard sized cover are 3240 X 2175 at 300 DPI. Alot of the artwork I used I had to shrink down to fit so that should give you an idea of the quality of material I am working with.
Also here is another 3d preview of the whole collection side by side... thanks to a friendly user on my site for making this. I was planning on doing this when the collection is comeplete but here is what it looks like incomplete but it looks pretty much complete to me...

Mind you they are not in any particular order..

Thats a cool poster but the quality looks horrible. Way too pixelated... It might be the preview but I don't know? hmmm

Ah, I thought that might be an issue. I recall seeing that someone had made some nice covers with such pictures on some website that either I can't find or no longer exists. I'll keep my eyes open for the big, high-quality images though. And if you ever come across any and decide to create covers out of them, please post about it here so we can stay informed!

Wow, Very cool. It's nice to see how they all match. Why coudn't Disney have done that?

As requested in a pm heres some previews of 101 dalmatians 1 and 2
These are some of my earlier covers. I will probably be updating the backs soon.. we'll see
101 Dalmatians 1 is one of the few covers I had to use a scan for. I scanned my old original vhs cover that I had since I couldnt find any other artwork for this but the scan came out pretty good
And I thought I would throw this in here for the heck of it. Originally I was not planning on doing a cover for this but due to my pixar set having a missing title I had to go ahead and give this a go. Mind you artwork was veeeeeeeeeery limited for this so thats why I had to use Dot.. its still a work in progress so thats why the back is empty.

but yea! I really like the idea of personalizing the cover with your favorite character! (what you did with The Incredibles and now with A Bug's Life!)

I just realized...it's like some of the UD members are anticipating YOUR DVD covers than DISNEY's DVD covers!
